Bitdefender for me :)

AVG though I'm thinking of switching to NOD32.

Symantec av is good. Norton consumer ones are poor.

Well, its that time of the year, so yeah, I reinstalled windows xp pro (this time with my own nlited version). I needed an antivirus. I had used avast av pro before, and it was good, but now I wanted something simpler that would not hog my system (avast didn't, but ya know, you become paranoic), so I got nod32. ****! It uses less resources than my gmail notifier!!! And it seems good, so I'll stick to it! :thumbup

well I guess, in case I were to choose, I'd be pretty sure that Avast is just as good as Nod32, but if you feel more secure, then that's fine ...

Norton Antivirus sucks. Latest version runs like a dog.

Heard a few horror stories about AVG (e.g. Doesn't work. Could be outdated virus defs though. Can't remember now).

Avast is my choice. It's free for personal use and the virus database is updated almost daily. I've never been infected since using it for almost two years now. Only downside is the annoying American voice :) (Can be turned off though)

imo its always best to test your anti-virus scanning engine with the eicar test 'virus'

http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm

just stick its various versions in a folder and 'expect a hit' during a scan.

:realmad: WHERES McAfee :realmad::realmad: Mcafee is the best virus scan in my opionion never used anything better

***Edit***

Sry guyes i wasent looking, i see it now sry, sometimes i'm a dutz ;) but i still vote for mcafee
