That's because Vista had a stronger reflection image, you can open the DWMGlass.dll and replace the png image with the one from Vista attached.

I believe it is some paypal problem, because I didn't touch anything. It worked correctly after logging into your paypal account. I tried to regenerate paypal button without using encryption of included data and now it seems to be working. Could someone confirm that it works now?

I just tested and the donate button works and redirects as it should to paypal.

Yeah your right, I would say that's more the way BM has implemented it, I know he is still working on getting it right, I'm sure he will figure it all out.

I have windows 8.1 since two days.. But I try to set the aero glass mod and it does not work .. I have always the same errors.. has about symbols with DWM..

Please help i love aero!

The Aero Glass utility needs to download symbol files from MS servers, thats the reason for the error, Currently only donators with licence keys can download the symbols automatically. You can download the Windows 8.1 symbol debug ISO from MSDN, make a symbols folder in the Aero Glass utility folder and dump the required symbol files there or you can donate and get a license key.

according to your logs you installed the wrong MS Symbols file.

[0xEE8] DBGHELP: C:\AeroGlass\symbols\dll\dwmcore.pdb - mismatched pdb

MS didn't officially make the RTM Symbols for public but only for MSDN subscribers. You probably downloaded the file from Windows 8.1 Preview which doesn't work on RTM.

Check my post #124 on page 5 for the correct file name and google it ;-)

Uninstall the one you installed, install the one I mentioned on that post and try again or support bigmuscle with a small donation and it will download the necessary symbols automatically ;-)

That you cannot close the dwm window is intentional until the final release for debugging purposes. You can minimize it though.

However this window appears often it is really disturbing! How to remove it? I click yes or no it returns again.

Yes, errors in log are normal, because function patterns are not included yet and thus it always fails (and will read the symbol file then).

It cannot be disabled, that is the point. He explicitly states that this is a beta/prototype build and not intended for normal use.
