Something I have just noticed, not sure if it was always this way in SIB+ but there is a hot tracking color property in the start menu so when you hover over an iten the text could change color, this used to work in the old SIB on windows 8 but now it only uses the text color property and hot tracking is ignored, is there a chance we could have that aded back again?

Lately, when I connect to my session with Remote Desktop, SiB+ disappears. Taskbar still works, but there's no Start button, and pressing the Windows key on keyboard doesn't do anything either.

What's the method you're using to move files to ramdisk?

What you mean by 'restoring SIB'?

What you meant by 'blank screen'? Is Ctrl-Alt-Del - Task Manager available?

Files are moved only once (logout) then I just create the temp folder (empty) - starup task cmd "/c md H:\IE_Cache"

Restore point created prior to the installation.

Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't work, blank screen.

Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't work.

Then it's not StartIsBack. It does not load before explorer, thus can't interfere with your logon.

SIB works without issues until I move IE temp folder. Moving the temp folder without SIB installed / no issues, it could be during the logout prompt...

@wmn use Group Policy or regedit, create new DWORD "EnableInSafeMode" at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\StartIsBack, value 1 with base hexadecimal

Hi,

I created this key using Regedit, rebooted in safe mode, and, it does not worked..

Windows 8.1 Pro with all the latests patch applied, StartIsback+ 1.5 RC3..

Try creating that value in

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\StartIsBack] instead.

"EnableInSafeMode" = 1 (dword value)
