Windows 2000 has 2CPU native support .

It is FAQ since Windows NT :3

You did not understand me. How to get MORE than 2 CPU support?

Posted (edited)

I believe Windows 2000 Advanced Server edition can use more than 2 cpus.  which is still windows 2000.

Windows 2000 Server: 4 CPUs/threads

Windows 2000 Advanced Server: 8 CPUs/threads

Windows 2000 Datacenter Server: 32 CPUs/threads

The theoretical limit is 2^16 CPUs/threads if the appropriate registry hack is made, with all editions of Windows 2000.

Blackwingcat, could you tell me which versions of Intel and AMD AHCI and VGA drivers from Windows Legacy Update are the most stable and well-tested for now, please?

It requires Extended Core Binary (it has been supported since first version) and registry setting.

Blackwingcat, what's the current situation regarding Steam? Installing Extended Kernel still doesn't launch my archived Nov. 2018 build of the client.
Is there anything else I need to install or have you still not fixed the problem?

You must have installed the Japanese version. The English version has no such issues (on my hardware)

And even then, you can rename the start menu items to their original names. I know that BWC's VMware player 3.1.x tool does the same thing to My Documents and My Computer.

On version 3.0a, installing the English language version switched some of the UI to Japanese on my Thinkpad T43. This issue doesn’t happen in my virtual machines though.

What about earlier versions? Do you have a working version archived somewhere?
