  1. Since it seems that Sony uses a separate method for booting, we couldn't say exactly how that recovery software works. What is the assist key? Is it a function key?
  2. Few people drink straight egg nog. Most drink as an excuse to be able to drink booze on Christmas morning, which seems silly. Just ditch the egg nog and drink that booze straight.
  3. I am plagued by this also, HOWEVER it seems to be the case that not all sound cards (or maybe even drivers) allow for the ability to see that option. Mine certainly doesn't (SoundBlaster Audigy Gamer PCI) however I know that it is enabled. I have known for some time that Windows seems to "deaden" certain sounds and my other software can't do anything about it. One glaring example is that certain bass frequencies cause the overall sound volume to drop for the duration of that particular sound. As a comparison, here is my speaker properties. You will notice it doesn't have the Enhancements tab... And in this example, disabling the Enhancements option does nothing. Although I did find this reg key online might be helpful. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENTVERSION/MMDEVICES/AUDIO/RENDER
  4. Well it sounds like a problem with that particular drive then. If it is an Intel board, 3 beeps means there is a memory error.
  5. One of those "read all before continuing" things. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverMigration/thread/0e668993-5201-486b-8502-c7b2a5c23901/
  6. What kind of beeps? Does it beep if you don't have the UFD plugged in? Also, how big is your boot.wim?
  7. So you say that some of your XML is processed on a stock WinPE boot? I was under the impression that the XML is only used by Setup.
  8. Are you using speakers in Stereo mode or one of the surround options?
  9. DigeratiPrime?
  10. Iron Maiden - Gangland
  11. When you use #include, the compiler looks for the file specified in c:\program files\autoit3\include. So if it isn't there when you compile, it won't be able to include that code. Although, you may find that the compiler gives you an error.
  12. Is your question about 7Customizer?
  13. Back since 2009? I don't recall but I can't remember everyone...
  14. Rolling Stones - Jumping Jack Flash
  15. If I am not mistaken, JorgeA has 2 DSL modems, in which an OLDER model is working fine? If this is the case, the possibility of having degrading wiring may still exist but at this point it would not be a valid thing to troubleshoot.
  16. Tony Bacala - The Death of Optimus Prime (Extended Remix)
  17. Das Ich - Erde Ruft
  18. Your image was corrupted. Can you upload another one?
  19. That would make sense if it were impossible to get to that link at all. The fact that it doesn't work in the mail client but does work in the browser means there is a problem with the mail client.
  20. Yes, the entire reason for the drives to be sealed (except for the vent) is to keep unwanted microscopic (or larger) objects away from the innards. Especially since there are some very powerful magnets inside of there, charged particle of all those things you hear about in those furnace cleaning commercials may decide to zoom over to their favorite magnetically charged objects if it isn't sealed... Or even possible to happen as soon as the drive is taken apart. I don't know of any friends who have a sealed clean room to even attempt such a task as a platter swap, much less let me in there to do it.
  21. At lot of solutions, especially since people working on their own Seagate drives became popular, aren't really fully understood. So the 'can' above should be 'might'. Just like hitting the hard disk on a table or putting it in the freezer 'might' fix it. Many people seem to jump into either the "reprogram with hyperterminal" or "swap the pcb" before really learning exactly what the problem is.
  22. Plus I am thinking how you can possibly reseal the drive when putting it back together... Not to mention that some small piece of dust or debris could get onto the platter during the transfer.
  23. What if you manually type that address into a web browser? Can you go to it then?
