  1. Sorry, for my bad english, too. But : doesn´t make sense to me... Do you mean : You used former nlite versions and they worked fine ? or: You didn´t and now, first time use, the installation hangs ? Well at least, you said, you´re using nlite, "dizzydog" didn´t ! So, guys where´s your last_session_ini ? "My car suddenly stopped !" is not much info ! Agi
  2. Are you sure that it´s (just) the driver ? http://www.jsifaq.com/SF/Tips/Tip.aspx?id=10807 A vista/ xp dualboot is always tricky, since vista uses a differnt kind of bootloader. Sorry the link above is the only english one I found. All the others are in german on winhelpline. Agi
  3. @Nuhi Thanks for the RC2 ! Works as perfect as the one before. But there are still 3 minor probs : Checked "show hidden devices" in tweaks. They don´t show up on default if the hardwaremanager is opened. Slipped the VIA chipsetdrivers as usual (tested with VIA 4in1 443 and VIA Hyperion 513a). The HDDs are set to PIO only, instead of auto/ UDMA. Worked with the older versions. Why is there the possibility to name the ISO, if winlite.iso pops up by default, as soon as I´m asked, where to save it ? I know and understand why you removed the netDDE possibility, but personally never had the freezing problem and still can´t produce it. So it seems, I have to remove it now manually. @SmokingRope and Outbreaker Had a similar strange Problem with the latest recommanded Nvidia graphicsdriver. Even tho it´s explicitly for my card (GF3Ti200) the installer says : No suitable driver for this hardware found... Can´t even install the driver on a clean install ! Switched back to the old 77.72 and it´s working like a charm. Agi
  4. I remember, there has been a thread not too long ago, but I have to check, if it was here or in the german nlite forum. Agi Edit Must have been in the german nlite forum, ´cause I just found an old answer by Nuhi : http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...st&p=552485
  5. There is absolutely no problem, nliting an hfslipped source(ss) ! As long as you remember, what to put in the "files to keep" list and don´t use FDV´s fileset. Don´t know about XPIZE, ´cause I´m using W2K. Personally, I don´t like driverpacks. Why don´t you simply integrate the ones you need with nlite ? For the .NET, there is Tomcat76´es Silent.NetMaker : http://www.msfn.org/board/Silent_NET_Maker...707_t90779.html Agi
  6. Switch off SFC, disable automatic updates, integrate your monitor driver with nlite. Check in your winnt.sif, if driversigning / nondriversigningpolicy is set to ignore. Agi
  7. O.K., let´s start from scratch ! Please fill out your profile. Still don´t know, what OS you´re using. Where´s your last session ini ? What should be the size of the iso ? If it´s nearly double, then there´s already an image inside. What folders ? Still don´t believe, that´s an nlite issue. Agi
  8. If I remember correctly, as well sound as gamecontrollers use this port. I disabled them in BIOS, ´cause I don´t need them and have two spare IRQs. Agi
  9. Maybe that is exactly, what you´re looking for : http://www.msfn.org/board/LegoTweaker_t103868.html Agi
  10. For W2K I can suggest 2 options : 1 : Grab Ryan´s Addon, unpack it to see, how he did it and create your own with the W2K files 2 : Take the "scenic route", as I do : Use HFSLIP to slip everything and run nlite on the "SOURCESS folder" afterwards, to integrate drivers, remove components and set tweaks... Agi
  11. Thanks again ! Would be nice to have this list as well as the tip to keep the new files, that HFSLIP integrated, directly available. So I can also update the little HFSLIP/ nlite "HowTo" in the german-nlite.de forum. http://www.german-nlite.de/index.php?s=&am...ost&p=80441 Will test it right away, got an XPSP2 from my brother, who just uses LINUX and it came with his PC. Agi
  12. This may explain, why I ran into trouble, when I used the latest DX9 for the first time instead of the "ancient" version I´m integrating ever since... Or maybe it´s just my old GF3ti200proVT (64MB), that is officially labeled DX8 ? Agi
  13. @tommyp Thanks for the confirmation by the Master himself ! So this "tweak" has the "holy approval" Do you know about any problems, if these files are applied with HFSLIP and nlite is run on the SOURCESS folder afterwards ? I´m also running a dualboot W98SE/ W2K, hope there aren´t any issues. Searched the forum for ntldr and ntdetect and found several threads, but none concerning this. Agi
  14. @nycste Please don´t take the following wrong. Did you check your Nero settings (Joliet, noemulation, Track/ Disk at once) ? Happened to me once, due to routine, when I copied some other files to CD... @efong Did you have your original CD in the drive, while creating the iso ? Agi
  15. So this tip is now thoroughly tested and working ? Maybe FDV can change this : on his page vorck.com , then and link to this thread, if more people can confirm, that it´s working. Agi
  16. Never came across such problems. Try to use CD RW, try to burn with NERO, try to burn at a slower speed. Agi
  17. No ! It isn´t ! It´s basically the same, that happened already before. So the only consequence to be expected is : Maybe ! The updatepacks will disappear again. But since there has not been any new reaction from MS since they´re up again... I´m not using any packs, so I don´t care, as everybody else should, ´cause nlite is not pack dependend. Agi
  18. For those purposes there still is the commercial tool XPlite. It´s not as comfortable as nlite, but pretty usable. Agi
  19. Nlite is freeware, but you should have read the licence agreement before you accepted it ! Especially point 1 and 5. Agi
  20. Yes ! Just the very first detection showed all red. Agi
  21. I did apply them with nlite and when I fired up the tweaker the first time, all 6 were red. I selected them all, they turned green and have been applied (again). ???? Agi
  22. It´s working. I thought, the program detects, if the patch was applied before and shows red, if it is. Couldn´t turn off peerguardian, the mule was running downhill. Agi
  23. Peerguardian is blocking the error report browser. There is no log. There are just 6 Patches available. In the top row the version is identified correctly, but the computer info is incorrect, sorry. Agi The screens are in the attachment.
  24. It says "Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional64bit" But it´s W2K Pro 32 Bit ! All 6 Patches were already applied via nlite and manually, but not detected. Sorry couldn´t use the error log, peerguardian is blocking it... Agi
