Anyway...add another /RunSynchronousCommand wcm:action as such: <RunSynchronousCommand wcm:action="add"> <Order>1000</Order> <Path>%WINDIR%\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /quiet /oobe /reboot</Path> <Description>Preparation</Description> </RunSynchronousCommand> Where <Order>1000</Order> should make it the LAST RunSynchronousCommand in AuditUser pass. -

@Sonic I ran 7960 install to first dialog box then did a search for *.msi. It's usually in the Users\[currentusername]\AppData\Local\Temp\NER?????.TMP I have full 7960 (trial version, serial unlocks full) from nero.com as opposed to upgrade version. No missing cabs or such. Oh...and don't forget to delete NeroBar.exe NeroBar.txt and Toolbar.exe!

However I have tried editing the CXXXXXXXX in orca, but it never 'takes'. It only works via command line. I was just about to edit my message...! ha awesome reply. Anyhow, my edit was to reiterate (and add) that all I checked (to remove!) was not only Welcome Center, but also Screensavers. -[] Multimedia | --- [checkmark] Screensavers [] System | --- [checkmark] Welcome Center CHECKED. Two items. Have not tried .8 yet.

Well, first off...I'm looking forward to testing DOT8, However...I've had the same problem as described on this thread and I do need the remote settings. This is WITHOUT removing anything. All I have done was disable welcome center on Ultimate so...I suppose...this needs to be investigated further. Will try 8 toward the weekend and advise. With Vista being so new, I dare not remove anything but the most annoying feature of a fresh install....Welcome Center.

To answer your second question, you can use all sorts of tools change the recorded TV format of dvr-ms. Among them are Nero, Sonic Encoders (Primetime is the best) and my favorite: VideoReDo, which cuts out the commercials automatically.

I'm gonna hazard a guess here... Try reseating your memory, as I've had this exact problem and I tracked it to the memory modules. I'm running DDR2 in dual channel mode, so what I did was take both modules out and switched them up then made sure they were seated securely. Another thing is to check BIOS settings. Make sure shadow ram and all that stuff is shut off. And lastly, make sure you're not overclocking (for now).

@ oioldman The reason some of us are using 81.95 is because the newer drivers are not compatible with some XP setups. Namely Media Center. It's an ugly mess! Though I'm using 81.98. Seems to work...

Hey Bashrat... I'm wondering if we can still manipulate textmode in case there are drivers that don't get along with others. I noticed two radio buttons for mass drivers. Just checking You can expect something from me also. BTW

<clear throat> Any tips on auto logon for special occasions? Maybe a small batch or something to write a reg entry or whatnot... of course bios will be on wake up, but I wonder if this is possible if the pc is given a command, wake from bios, autologon and revert to no autologon. Anyone?

Hey all.... about running installs from both guirunonce and runonce. It's never a good idea. They both do the same exact thing, but at the same time. So it's possible to office (for example) installing from runonce, Nero 7 from guirunonce and they're both going at it at once. It really depends on the system though. I've had several issues with this. Thing to do is pick one or the other and if worse comes to worst have less intensive (and time consuming) apps run from one and the huge ones from another. Or, as oioldman does use runonceex for t-13. You're gonna need cabtool. Since it's only an INF, that's all you'll need. I'm not sure if that specific tool also modifyPEs (pechecksum - which you can also download in that same link above). Make sure the original is name correctly. In other words NLITE.INF >> NLITE.IN_ and NOT NLITETEST.INF >> NLITETEST.IN_ >> rename to NLITETEST.IN_ I tell you this because I spent 3 hours trying to find out how I f'd up!

Hmm... In that case I demand restitution (payment) for all those DVDs burned (then burnt) and wasted trying to figure out the fundamentals of unattended installs - for the sleepless nights and trying to explain the five oclock shadow at 4am to the creature that is my wife. That'll amount to appx $32.48 (U.S) or 2 packs of 50 DVDs each. I've never given any thought to Win installs til about 8 months ago when my floppy drive stroked and F6 became a thing of fantasy, but look at me now...hacking away and typing up .infs at 4am butt a** nekid chompin cheetos. I owe it all to you Bashrat. And thank you too RyanVM and everyone else in these forums. Oh and tcsenter...good luck with the learning and all. These packs were never meant to be unleashed upon Windows directory. There is some preperation involved both before and after slipstreaming. Maybe you'll get an answer to what's really going on with your install from Microsoft OEM/OPK in 80 hours or so. Not all of us sport such fantastic learning curves, but in the end you're gonna need some tips yourself. Please feel free to leave a post. AFTER the 80 hours of course.
