  1. I'd recommend 7zip, it's got much better compression, fast, easy in use AND freeware! 7 zip homepage
  2. and /or (?) you could use double backslashes. e.g.: E:\\program files\\Adobe\\xyz
  3. Icons like the ones of 'This computer' and 'Networklocation' are included in explorer.exe. I guess you'd have to hack this to 'insert' it in Windows as_clean_as_possible. And what is 'XPE'?? Windows XP Embedded? What do you exactly mean by this? Plz explain to me.
  4. This is not needed. At least, it works fine for me without adding all this... (using RunOnceEx, before cmd)
  5. Anyone who owns a Audigy LS card? Having alot of trouble with it... I've searched the folders of the driver tens of times but I can't find a control panel!!!!! Is there no control panel included or what???? PS: I'm using this driver. Is it the correct one? EDIT: forgot to say: are there people who'd really like me to integrate the THX console?
  6. Is there also away to do this IN Windows, through a batch file? (I guess not, but I ask it anyway because it might be very usefull)
  7. @opg: Ryan mentioned the reason why I don't have to integrate this one. And I think it's also included in Win Server 2003, not? @SiMoNsAyS: I haven't got much time last week. For tomorrow I've got to learn a big test for French, monday lanparty... I guess next week or so, unless I'll have time tomorrow. Via control panels are completed, still have to do the SB AU cpls.
  8. Windows on a Mac: Virtual PC for Mac Mac on a PC: link and the newest, open-source, but still in development: PearPC If you had used Google, you'd have found it yourself...
  9. When you're using the /Q /O /N /Z switch I don't think there are any temp folders. Can anyone confirm this?
  10. You haven't done ANY search, have you??? Use: -msfn search -google In this topic you can find all switches you need.
  11. You want to do this manually, NOT unattended? Easy. When Windows has booted and your seeing the welcome-screen, press twice CTRL+ALT+DEL and a screen where you can login as administrator appears.
  12. Interesting post! One remark, in fact an addition: I'm quite sure this is the WHQL license. Further no remarks! Nice guide!
  13. Indeed, slipstreaming might be a better way to get it installed... Just download Ryan's RAIDdriverspack. You can find his topic in: MSFN=>Unattended Windows Discussion and Support=>Device Drivers, the sticky above Next time use the search function!
  14. Perhaps you have to select the right inf because he finds 2 or more inf's who are a possible good driver to setup?
  15. You have to rename the hotfixes so they're compatible with 8.3 names! Else it won't work!
  16. For those who were worrying about the consequences of removing the 'LANG'-folder: this folder is needed ONLY if you want/need support for languages of the far east: Chinese, Korean, Japanese, ... So don't worry about removing it! And it saves ALOT of space!
  17. overclock your 2500+ to a 3200+ !! in fact no risk! (if it's bought in the last year) the low fps might be normal... Your graphics card is not that good... Try again with all settings to lowest. What resolution do you use?
  18. Surf to the guide again and download cdimagepro /cdimagehome, it's much better!
  19. Anywhere in your msn settings? Then I'm quite sure will be very complicated...
  20. Yes there is: start, programs, accesoires, system workset, wizard transfer files and settings However, your programs will have to be reinstalled and their settings will probably get lost... To re-import your settings: same as above but now choose 'This is the computer where I want to move my settings to'. Hope my answer is usefull...
  21. Perhaps it's one of the regtweaks? And also this: use VMWare, it's much fasters than VirtualPC AND much faster than a real PC AND you don't waste CD-R's!
  22. Perhaps you could define it overhere? svcpack.inf [SetupData] CatalogSubDir="\i386\Update" ==> [SetupData] CatalogSubDir="\\server\hotfixes\" just give it a try?
  23. Received today: Curious if all manufacturers will do this
  24. According to your avatar you're from Greece. Greek domain names end with .gr? I guess you'd have to edit you're homepage and set it to www.msn.gr, but it's only a guess, not sure...
