  1. The advice I'd give: spend a week of your time on the net reading msfn.org. Read the tutorial twice or so and follow some topics that interest you. That's the way everyone here has learned it. (or should learn it) EDIT: IMO is the svcpack.inf method the best/easiest to install hotfixes. See http://unattended.msfn.org for more info.
  2. I've found another one! I think I'll use this one from now... XPES I know there's still another one.. from IcemanND, but it was never fully completed, still some bugs...
  3. Has this interesting program become abandonware? Or is it simply complete and totally forgotten? I've been here for a while now and haven't found this till now....
  4. Have you reduced the size of the original CD in any way? (gosh, nlite,...)
  5. positive? positive you've disabled some components in winnt.sif?
  6. Drivers are used for hdd controllers, not hdds itsself
  7. Somewhere in the bios options there should be an option called 'allow USB keyboard'. If this is enabled it should work!
  8. Did you disable any components in your winnt.sif? And are you sure you didn't accidentally delete some files?
  9. I don't know ANYTHING of the installation method you're using, but I think I've noticed a typing mistake... Perhaps that was the only problem???
  10. Even with extreme overclocking it doesn't have much effect... As Treeman said: a fan may do the job too: better AND cheaper!
  11. google? silicon image homepage?
  12. Creative drivers are almost finished. I think I've found (finally!!) a way to get the control panel correctly installed. Also I've slimmed the drivers (which are updated AND ZS-hacked by the way) down from ~89 MB to ~32 MB! By deleting eastern languages and .CDF files and so on. Only have to edit the inf's a little and I'll be finished! I hope I can get this done by tomorrow, as I have math exam coming monday .
  13. HUH??? Windows has apparently an unknown feature: when incorrectly (?) installed, pop ups for free
  14. Nice to hear that . Control panels are also correctly installed? I'm especially curious for the VIA....
  15. That's what I WAS doing and AM doing... (sfx) Only this method could have turned out to be better and easier...
  16. And you're a 100% sure you're using XP SP1 ?
  17. Which one is simply the best in your opinion?
  18. thank you what audiocontroller do you have?

  20. search on microsoft.com for multi language...
  21. Interesting, never heard before of that!
  22. whoops , my mistake. I meant www.driverguide.com. link
  23. Good news for Audigy , Audigy 2 (ZS) and Live! users! I've completely downloaded the Creative Audigy 2 ZS CD and (successfully?) completed the Audigy 2 ZS hack guide. I'm still looking for a way to get the control panel entirely installed, but I'm closing! What I've done so far: audigy zs hack removed everything with the following languages: Chinese (traditional & simplified)JapaneseBrazil (Portugese)Koreanstill there:EnglishFrenchGermanItalianSpanishDutchThis saves quite alot of space. I think the deleted languages are not so much present on this forum. Anyway, I'll send it to you on request.made silent installations for the most important progs (check first page for downloads)searched and found a second fast FTP, which brings the total to 100 MB now uploading the creative progs right now and trying to get the installation of drivers and control panel flawless silent...Almost forgot: is there someone who wants to create a setup.iss for me for the THX setup? download here (temporarily, later silent version)
  24. If you're using Windows XP SP1 you don't need Bluetooth drivers anymore!
