  1. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/oemfolders.htm this seems to work as long as you have yoiur paths right in RunOnceEx.cmd make sure that you use $1 and not 1$ or no files get copied over to be installed. dont run your cleanup till after you get everyting installing ok this way you can look around after an install and see what has been copied over and where it is
  2. did you check out the link? what is your file structure? do you have $oem$\$1\install ?
  3. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/examples.htm you might try looking at the examoles page runonceex file although your file structure is likely to be a little different
  4. that looks ok where have you got the files that you are trying to install?
  5. have you got a cmdlines.txt pointing to your runonceex.cmd file?
  6. when my unatended install is finished it comes up with messenger wanting to sign in, now i have tried several registry tweeks and searched the forum but havent been able to prevent this from happening does anyone have any ideas? any help would be much apreciated
  7. can anyone tell me what switches are required to get winzip to do a complete unatended install?
  8. i am runing this patch from svcpack.inf at the t-13 minute mark and all installs ok but it asks questions during the install which defeates thepurpose of an unatended install. i am using the normal switches /Q:A /R:N but it still asks questions, would it be better to run it from the runonceex or are there other switches that are required to make it unattended?
  9. when xp first boots it asks you if it can improve the video settings, can someone point me in the direction of a tweak that will prevent this. i have already specified the size i want the desktop and this question by xp requires mouse clicks which defeats the purpose of an unatended install
  10. i have been working on anatended install with xp and using wininstal le and it worked fine the first time and now i get the error unable to open database does anyone know an alternative program to create the .msi files or a way to get this one to work?
  11. when i run wininstall le to create an msi file for the unatended install i get the following error Severity:1 Return code:110 Message: Failed to open database. any ideas appreciated
  12. i create an msi file for my unatended install and win instal .le comes up with an error about an absolute path, so it installs ok from its current deirectory but if you move it it doesnt work. i know i need to either alter the absoulute path so that it looks in the right place when it is moved or change it to a relative path but i cant find the settings in the program top do it can anybody help?
  13. i ran the command that you sugested from the .cmd file and a log file was created but it was emty
  14. can anyone tell me why my registry edits wont run is there an error in my .reg file or cmdlines.txt file or have i missed something else? both files are in previous parts of this thread
  15. i just did anoter install and checked the values that should have been applied in the registry and they have not been changed. Cmdlines.txt [COMMANDS] "REGEDIT /S RegTweaks.reg" "RunOnceEx.cmd" runonceex runs ok but the registry edits dont
