  3. ..i would be also quite interested how this can be tweaked!
  4. @Astalavista: what exactly does your posting have in common with enabling Remote Assistance during unattended XP Setup?!?!? ..i repeat my request: can i enable the Remote Assistence with a line in the winnt.sif file of RegTweaks.reg ?!?!? thank You in advance
  5. ..hmm, did you test this?! i don't want to enable it only for my user but for all users!
  6. ..sure, sure, but how do i get the adapter ID ?!?! since it's an unattended installation performed on different systems (different hardware) i suppose i cannot generalize this.. or am i wrong?!? ..another question: i use a lot of the regtweaks from this forum on a NON-english XP CD and most of them do not work; is this possible or have i done a mistake of some kind?! thx in advance
  7. ..thanx man! two more questions: * afaik the expression has to be in [brackets], right or wrong?! * how do i get the *ADAPTER*ID* ???
  8. ..hate quoting myself, but still: does anyone know a reg_tweak for disabling the DNS Registration in the TCP/IP menue?!?
  9. ..does anyone know a reg_tweak for disabling the DNS Registration in the TCP/IP menue?!? Thank You
  10. ..could someone say some words about this lines in the winnt.sif please. would really like to know what this are good for (LPDSVC, AutoMode=PerSeat, TSEnable, etc.) Thank You
  11. @SibTiger: did so, but the TMP enviroment variable changed to D:\\temp instead of D:\\Tmp (straaaange..) Another problem is that it was set only local; if i join a domain the variable is set to %USERPROFILE%\Local Setings\Temp. This should be also set to D:\\tmp. Any suggestions?! ..does anyone know a reg_tweak for disabling the DNS Registration in the TCP/IP menue?!? Thank You.
  12. @peachy: well, donnow how You've managed it without a .inf file.. [SETUP] INF_FILENAME = G550W.inf VERSION = Matrox PowerDesk Setup - 5.92.006 LANGUAGE = ENG SILENT = YES REBOOT = NO DISPLAYMODE = 1024,768,32,96 RESET_USER_CONFIG = YES RUN_QDESK = NO RUN_DIAG = NO COPY_ALL_DRIVERS = YES LOGFILE = matrox.log [REGISTRY] User.AGP = 1 Mga.AGPFlags = 04,01,00,00 [TV_STANDARDS] Canada = NTSC France = PAL I'm quite puzzled about this, if a set the INF_FILENAME flag to another driver it won't work, but this way it recognizes ALL Matrox G-Series Cards..
  13. @Professor Frink: tried also withouth the 2 lines of the winnt.sif but same problem.. @Rahbas: there must be a way of achieving an unattended domain login without the netdom.exe don't get me wrong, i will try it out too, but i would prefer to solve this by the winnt.sif file.. @klasika: where sould i look for the event.log?! A little completion: At the login screen, after pressing ctrl+alt+del, i need to switch to the domain i want to log in and by clicking on the field there pops up a `please be patient` dialog telling me that the domainlist is beeing build... well, whatever, after a few minutes i can select my domain (so it seems that somehow the domain was recognized) and it takes again ca.3min for the domainlist beeing rebuild or whatever. After typing the domain password this message pops up: The Network Logon Service was not Started Any suggestions?!
  14. Hello, I need some reg-tweaks for: setting the environmentvariable TEMP and TMP to a specified path (for ex. E:\TEMP and E:\TMP ) Thank You in advance.
