Have u tried using a prog like Nvreffix which can tweak ur refresh rate so that it doesnt switch back to the default of 60hz when gaming this is for Nvidia based cards only......Im sure theres something similar for other cards!!

here give this ago, dont really know ur connection setup but this might help fix ur prob 1. First you must limit the range of port that mirc use in the Dcc, Option menu. In DCC ports , set both at 1024. 2. After, go into control panel & network connections 2. Right click on your connection and select 'properties' 3. Left click the advanced tab 4. Left click the settings button 5. Under services, left click the add button 6. For description type "DCC", for Name of IP put the name that identifies your system with your ISP OR your IP if it is static. 7. Both external and internal ports are 1024 by default and TCP. 8. Click OK and restart If that doesnt fix ur prob, I suggest maybe installing a prog like Trillian...which is very user friendly for XP

Just finish doing a sys restore, crapped up my desktop using one of those deskskin progs :mad: left me with just a blank blue screen...no icons, taskbar nothing had to access sys restore through the windows task manager:D worked like a charm, only lost the progs that i downloaded that day, but not a biggie

Dont mind spending sometime configin it, just need something that can free up some time so i can do other work while Im checking over my essay drafts. basically so I can multi tasks my referencing and reading

Ive had to use system restore once and had know probs with it, Conan I pity that u had to do a format......it sucks having to reload everything!!! [b:2b7feed9a5]BLACKWAR[/b:2b7feed9a5] If system restore worked better on ME its only because everything else [b:2b7feed9a5]didnt[/b:2b7feed9a5], and the only thing u can do to keep that O/S running is to constantly do a sys restore

Work lcd at 1280x1024 60Hz home crt at 1280x1024 75Hz I seem to get more eye strain from the work monitor, dont know if level of concentration has ne thing to do with it??? Does ne1 use those screen filters on their monitors???..are they ne good or are they mainly for filtering the level of sunlight???
