  3. Man u got some Serious probs, the only thing I could think of is that u recheck ur connections from ur case to ur MB make sure u got the right one connected for power....thou I assume that they are marked clearly. Your power supply is new so it shouldnt be that, even when u push the power plug in and out from the wall plug there will always be a little jolt of juice which will move ur case fan a little thats normal!!! besides checking that ur cpu is in firmly, had a similar prob with the cpu not locking in properly on a friends even thou he had his heatsink attached it still wasnt sitting right and would only power when he pushed on it. Im afraid ur board may be fried or something not right with it hope this helps Goodluck

  20. Go control panel/display/appearence/......then choose the effects button then make sure that the box is ticked that says "use the following method to smooth edges of the screen fonts" then instead of standard choose clear......and that should change the lettering under ur desk top icons to a darker more visable display:cool: I think thats what u were after???
  21. Check ur other post as more ram and an update bios will help!!!!
  22. How much Ram do u run in ur system as XP does require more then previous O/S, really anything under 258mg will suffer slow system performance. give us more info as to ur system specs??? what devices ur running and the amount of Virtual memory ur system may have available....etc
  23. Okay heres what u do to create a paging file on the second partician so that it improves ur system proformance. It only works well if u have plenty of free space on ur second volume. For example, suppose ur paging file is on the C drive and that you have plenty of space on ur D drive. Defrag the C drive and create a paging file on the D drive. Then, set the size of the paging file on the C drive to zero (effectively removing the file). Reboot the machine, then create a new paging file on the C drive. Set the size of the paging file on the D drive to 0, then reboot again. Because u've defragged the C drive, it should contain enough contiguous free space to let XP create a contiguous paging file, which the system will access alot faster freeing up the vitual mememory and yes ur drive will slow down when disk space is low!!!
