  1. You need: - full Vista - new 7zip utility which supports WIM - and tell me which Printer manufacturer it is and I'll tell you where the files are
  2. They are all final ver but is it in any way different than others, it sure looks like it is.
  3. Noted, will be checking this, thx.

    What gives?

That's weird. Then that OEM is modified somehow.

    BUG

Yes this bug is random and it's connected to the CAB decompression engine. It won't happen on the same place, especially if you reboot it won't happen again. But I did have it once every few months. Changed a little that engine in the next version but I doubt that that will be fixed, we'll see. It's impossible to test easily though, only wait.

    What gives?

Few things to try: -if you integrate IE be sure to integrate it's hotfixes after it (top to bottom) -sort all hotfixes the same by build date, top being the oldest -don't use ASMS compression (Hotfixes - Advanced options)
  7. silenec, you do realize that this is not just vLite issue? I recommend reinstall on Monday when new vLite is out, and think twice will you install that hotfix before it's officially out.
  8. Try without unattended then (or simply delete autounattend.xml from the folder root before making ISO).
  9. Ok, I really can't say anything more since I don't believe that it's removals, more like something in parallel. But on Monday there will be new vLite version, significant upgrade. Then try it if you want and report please. Regards.
  10. It's probably some custom Dell addition. Try the new version once out on Monday then let me know if it still fails then we'll debug.
  11. I'm not saying that it is your cause but that it should have worked. If it works with HTML kept then great. Btw don't integrate any drivers and don't install any hotfixes while trying this. I still think that the reason is not in the reamovals (unless it's the HTML which I haven't removed).
  12. I told you what I remove and Overlord works, I'm not lying. Only HTML engine is what you remove and I keep.
  13. Ok. Then it wasn't anything weird. ISO is getting bigger with the first apply method because it just adds the changes. I thought that it grew from 2.6GB (normal 32bit size) to the 3.8GB, that would be weird.
  14. I'm playing Overlord on an x64 vLited to the bone and of course it works. You can remove all and it will run, your problem is somewhere else. Maybe in the new hotfixes or something? Note: I kept just Media Class Scheduler, IE (with Microsoft HTML engine) and Aero. Maybe it's the Microsoft HTML engine but if it works then it could be due to the reinstall alone.
  15. If you can't run many games then your problem is not what is removed, it's your drivers or bios setup.
  16. Why so sad, I thought no one will use that. It's best to rebuild anyway. Nothing can be done, it was clearing the list twice, once before usage and again after it. It was due to the new 256mb memory limit patch modifications, had to move some functions to fire later on.
  17. Yup, fixed it in the next one. I couldn't believe that no one saw it so I kept it quiet
  18. Ok, now someone with the 64-bit to confirm and we're done. Or I'll make a quick virtual test...
  19. marc2003, wait a second, it fixed your rename issue or just the reg import worked but it's still the same? (just playing safe before celebrating) rezzo, here. FD32.zip
  20. Well they can always say "you shouldn't have tampered" so they are safe. Here is the x64 Ultimate clean export of all the entries attached. FD.zip
  21. DigeratiPrime, it was a pain, especially when I saw that I did nothing wrong. wintertiger, oh that's great news, I hope MS reads this and fixes that hotfix installer to be more flexible. Default is what would be on the full - retail Vista there, few entries with class numbers. I can export the one you need, let me know which version of Vista. BUT the issue is that reg tree is protected probably and simple reg import will be denied, but you can try, if nothing else you could add the missing ones manually.
  22. Gonna check this. Sancho, what is the Dialup checkbox so that I can check that component, thx? Is it the Dial-up and VPN support ?
  23. Could be. There is no way I can get that Windows to check. Did you try it after the modifications, you can make the ISO and test in the virtual machines. Use the 2nd apply method and it should be smaller with more removed but only remove what you don't need. Also you didn't say what is the original size of that folder before vlite?
  24. Monday.
  25. How did you manage to make the 32bit version 3.8GB large? Did you used the original DVD, copied to some newly created empty folder on your HDD or what? vLite has the Bootable ISO page, you can make ISO there or burn directly. http://www.vlite.net/help/iso.html
