I tried them on the English XP SP2 and they all work. When I tried them on the German XP SP2 I would get a BSOD. No one else reported that and since I only get complaints why it is removed then I'll return it.

You actually didn't understood my last reply. Textmode list isn't the INF file list, it's the list in the popup. And PNP for sure won't help.

ksukat, since you say that the mode is Textmode on the list then you did get a popup. Try selecting all the listed drivers on that list if there is more than one, but only if it's not for another Windows version. For example if it's ICH7 ICH8 ICH9 Select all. If it's: Sata 2k Sata XP Sata 2k3 Then select only the one which is for the Windows version being inserted to.

ksukat, do you get a textmode popup during insertion of the driver? Fernando, no need to uncheck OEMPreinstall, that's only needed for the floppy method.

Of course that I agree on the unified save file, it's just that part was written 3 years ago and I never got to it. Gonna redo it for the 1.5 beta so that I don't mess up 1.4 final in the last minute. Probably it will be left as ini so that it can recognize old presets. I understand what you mean by XML, it's the name tags and ability to save the object, but for me it's the same since I have to write ID for every component (can't directly save) so I prefer INI, simpler to read.

In my case the tipping point was the latest update which blocks non-WHQL drivers in all scenarios except with the F8 bypass. Since I forget to choose it on every reboot I got frustrated. And some of my hardware drivers were MIA (M-Audio USB Pre, SE-K750i mobile, Powerware UPS...)

Yeah it would be great but it's not up to me, that's how this WIM imaging works. I could rebuild and recombine but it would take too much time and too many steps, it could fail at some. Anyway we usually use/buy just one version anyway so Rebuild option is perfect.

Try Creating ISO with mkisofs engine, not the default one, you'll see that option on the ISO page - Create Image mode. Then you can choose Burn Image to burn that created ISO.

I would suggest by date, some by KB number, you see nLite is smart and doesn't sort But it does automatically first integrate update packs, then hotfixes, regardless of global order.

Since you report weird, unconfirmed bug every other day I'll have to put this into the suspicious box. I know for a fact that Extras 64bit integrate fine. Maybe it's the certain combination with removals, for example Dreamscene needs Wmp codecs.

I heard of people integrating them without a problem. Are you trying that to the Ultimate version or some other?

TooMuchFreeTime, have you checked if maybe you're removing some of your folders with the "Directories" and thus it fails during your scripts.

examiner, preset please, attach it. What is that with the DHCP, you'll need to be more specific. dead0, preset? georgeasch, so those sure worked for you? And you would stay with more buggy release because of few tweaks...funny but I don't respond good to threats

TooMuchFreeTime, I have tried your preset on the XP SP1 and it didn't fail. Also tried adding read-only attributes on files, still worked. That BITS service notion is only one that makes sense, if you disable something or remove a needed component for those which are left it may hang there. I believe that your problem is real but it's not easily reproduceable, and why do you use SP1 in the first place, try slipstreaming SP2 first, then configure. If anyone else has anything to add please do. Also I noticed that those with unexplained hanging do something extra, like scripts or AIO...if there wasn't a notion that 1.3.5 works I wouldn't even test this. So try to explain to me exactly how to reproduce it, or you do it, first start the test on the clean installation files and don't do anything extra to it.

I don't have that driver, maybe SP1 or some hotfix installed it for you. It's not the same to disable the service and to remove it. When disabled it still leaves the files and reg entries to be used. And wouldn't be surprised if loaded, to some degree.
