The w32.jeefo virus just appends itself to the file and packs its resources so it doesn't work normally without the virus being active, as the virus will hook file opens and restore the resource section on-demand. Your removal program probably was unable to unpack and restore the resources section of the infected programs, thus they refuse to run. You might need to reinfect (!) your system so that you can remove it properly. (This virus isn't particularly harmful.)
