  5. I know Abit make good boards, but never used the one you mentioned...
  6. See if you can copy the i386 folder from the cd over to your pc. If you can, use nlite to make a bootable cd of your xp. For more info on nlite, see here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=28005
  7. The problem is that the optical drive couldn't read those files on cd because it is scratched.

  11. It is. Now, have you heard of DHCP and IP Address Reservations? The moment your pc is turned on, it will broadcast its presence and search for an IP address which will be available to it from the server based on the MAC address of your wi-fi card. Or you could set all IP's to static and manually assign to each device its own IP address in the same class and subnet mask.
  12. In the BIOS set Wake-on-LAN to Enabled.
  13. As previously said on here... If you got an MCSA, you should know that making a pc member of a domain will let you log onto that domain when you press Ctrl+Alt+Del. If you don't want to be presented with the Ctrl+Alt+Del screen, just go in the GPO on the server of your LAN and disable it. Otherwise, how do you suppose your pc will know whether you wanna log onto the domain or the pc itself?
  14. You mean your pc is linked to the WAN port? If so, link it to any other ethernet port on your router and leave the WAN port free for your ISP
  15. I'm sorry to disagree here with you, but ripken is right. Static IP's give you more flexibility in setting up your LAN. The only way I'd use DHCP in the router was if it knew reservations (so you can assign the same IP address to a given device).
  16. That is exactly why you can't alter its location.
  17. True, in order to enjoy the aero experience. If you don't mind not using it, 64MB of graphics RAM is OK.
  18. A word of advice: the word "crack" is not well tollerated here, so please do not mention it in the future. Please read the rules.
