Probably the best solution. HFSLIP with not be updated any more, I'm sure the bugs it has won't be fixed so why waste anytime on it. It was a great project but its time to move on.

The key is motivation, ambition and love for Windows 9X. Most of us have it, but it eventually dies inside some of us. I started buying used laptops off craigslist just so I can always a have a system running Win98. I have accumulated 3 desktops 3 laptops. Windows 98 is able to run on 5 of them. I have looked in other forums but this is where most of the Win98 action is. It won't be long before its completely dead. I hate to say it but its true. Most of the sticky topics are unofficial packages with some bugs and has not be updated in months, some years. One thing you did, which you were not obligated to do was inform us, unlike some others. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. Believe it or not, but same thing is happening to Win2000 + WinXP etc......

Anyone using the latest version of fdv fileset for WinXP and have a stable system?

Do you think we should upgrade to the latest version or should we work on this version getting it close to flawless?

I had this problem back in the day, I had to delete the Recycle Bin on WinXP because files were in use. Never found a solution.

If you do decide this, can you still make a combined installer, because these files work on Win98SE too and is newer than the files from MSRDPCLI.EXE? Then maybe someone can re-create the installer to work on 98SE. Thank you very much. Was you using scripten.exe 5.7? This is the version I'm talking about. All other version work with or without BWC kernel..

Confuses me too. If tomasz86 has the time, maybe create a unofficial fix with both files including the reg file as an updated version of rdp.

This method works, http://grandstreamdreams.blogspot.com/2006/12/making-windows-defender-work-with.html but I can't update the virus definitions. It uses the same definitions as Microsoft Security Essentials. Maybe some tweak or script might help.

This version does not work on Windows 2000 Server. It works fine on WinXP.

It was fdv fileset that caused the usb interface popup, I know this because I slipstream a CD without fdv fileset and there was no errors. Thank you! You are 1 awesome person.

I just made a clean CD with your pack and everything went well. Windows2000-KB935839-v5a-x86-ENU.exe can I use this file on Server 2000? The reason I ask is because some of BlackWingCat files that work for Win 2000 Pro doesn't work for the server version.
