  1. ALOT of people actually like Vista and I do mean ALOT. (Personally I hate it) Nuhi does an excellent job with this and it only improves Vista from the bloated peice of crap it is. Long live XP!
  2. You most likely have conflicting codecs installed now. You shouldn't install multiple codec packages on the same machine. Uninstall them both in the same order and install just one. (I prefer klite codec pack myself) Try again after that.
  3. YUP Its called reformatt... No I am not sure where it went. First thing I always do is goto add\remove and uninstall EVERYTHING I dont recognize or know I don't want or use. Then is startup cpl to stop all unwanted startup crap.. <-- http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml Then use ccleaner to clean out the old junk and the reg (It does a fairly good job at the reg) <-- http://www.ccleaner.com/ Then run a defrag even if it is the default windows one. After that I use bootvis to speed up the boot proccess. <-- http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=664 Thats a pretty good start for cleaning up an old system.
  4. Did you remove IE with nlite or XPlite? Do you have nero7 installed?

  11. WPI Used to have that ability in the past but there was too many problems with it. As for the installer audio volume look in installet.hta with a txt editor like notepad near the bottom is the mediaplayer section you can set the volume there 100 being the loudest and 1 being the lowest. A volume slider is actually being worked on right now and will be added in the next coupla releases.
  12. OK what you have to do is split the directories apart into 4 seperate win2000 like the originals was and then update all 4 seperatly. The repack just like you packed it the first time....

  16. During the boot proccess keep tapping f8 until the boot menu comes up and then choose "Safe mode" see if it boots into that. Also what drivers or progs were installed lately?
