  1. ~332 megs is what i see for the size.
  2. WOW a hundred and fifty bucks to install XP man I should do that.
  3. there isn't enough demand or pay for it...
  4. Not when you refuse to use an updated version...
  5. When WPI runs it proccesses your file while bringing up the menu. So you will see the menu. But if you use a timer setting of "0" it will only flash for a split second and start the installs.
  6. nLite is exactly what you need. when you use nlite to do your SATA drivers MAKE SURE you have a set of drivers that include a .cat file and a txtsetup.oem file.... nLite is pretty easy to understand. as for updates you should go here --> http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/ and get ryans update pack and then here http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4955 and get the followup pack to that with those 2 packs you will have a current "Fixed" sp2 disk. in the nlite sub-forum you will find a slipstreamer rfor Windows media player 11 and nlite will integrate IE7 smoothly also. so you need all of your EXTRACTED drivers not the standard old installation packages... Try this --> http://siginetsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34 it will grab MOST (sometimes it misses a litlle so double check) of the extra drivers installed on your system. Also grab A trial copy of vmware or a free copy of virtualPC (Use google) Testing is a must if you are gonna get into this:P Sorry for the rambling post is 6 am here. #1 Copy XP Source and slipstream sp2 into it with nlite also have nlite make and burn a cd for you to have a solid XP w\sp2 source. #2 Use the WMP11 slipstreamer and add WMP11 into your source #3 Get all of your drivers together each in its own little seperate folder (Drivergrabber does most of this step) #4 rerun nlite choose hotfixes and drivers and iso page. #6 select these files for proper updating: RVMUpdatePack2.1.11.7z RUPUpdates-2.1.11.8-Addon.7z IE7-KB928090-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe IE7-KB929969-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe IE7-WindowsXP-KB933566-x86-ENU.exe IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe <-- this is the actual IE7 installer the other 3 are hotfixes you can find by googling their kb****** numbers. add all drivers and remember to select the multiple driver folder, then find your base folder that has you previously gotten drivers, select all is the next choice to pick now if you did your SATA drivers properly you'll get a little pop-up asking which way you want to integrate them choose txtmode. #7 mix #8 make iso and test. if all goes well burn and install as needed. now there are many many many more steps you can do and it gets pretty addictive But this is the pretty basic. Also if you want more help I am on messenger at kelsenellenelvian@hotmail.com P.S. its "Slipstream" and "Integrate" P.S.S. How much did you pay? Just curious.
  7. You are going to have to do it again with less addons and learn how to use another app like WPI, XPlode, WIHU or even the good old runonce style installation of applications. You CANNOT Split the XP installation in 2 or more parts. If you only have a CDROM then I wuold think your system probably cannot handle Vista but if you are determined enough to do it use vLite it will split the iso into cd sized peices that work properly.
  8. Then there you go don't be so lazy and use the actual slipstreamer instead.... Obviously you have the motivation to figure it out instead of waiting hours for Booogy to answer use the slipstreamer instead.
  9. Hey laze do you even know what the latest fixes are?
  10. Warning raised all but this post deleted!!!! DO NOT MULTI-POST!
  11. Past versons --> http://www.wpiw.net/files.html !!!!!!! What the hell do ya mean??? Thats what the timer is for.
  12. If you look on the website you'll find a link for the older WPI versions archive. Question #2 HUH????
  13. I have yet to experience the issue with 6.1 Here are the fixes I have installing:
  14. You are prolly using a custom logonui that XP doesn't like for one reason or another....
  15. * Updated the options and config wizards to allow for creating new, loading other, and saving current settings under different names. There are new gadgets: New Options, Load, Save As... The current files are displayed in the respective wizard. When exit each wizard, that file is set as the default and will be loaded the next time WPI is run. If the file does not exist it will default back to the original: useroptions.js or config.js. If the path contains '\WPI\WPIScripts\' it will be assumed the file is in the WPI main folder and will change the path to relative './WPIScripts/'. The files should be kept in the WPIScripts folder. With the new command line args, you will have to specify them in your cmd script since they are saved as registry entries. * Updated the wpi.htm theme file yet again. Removed the config wizard <table> gadget template and updated it to match the options wizard template. Sizes and locations are now consistant. This does require a simple update to 5.0 themes. * Added command line support to specify different config and user options files: WPI.hta options=useroptions_mritter.js config=config_mritter.js check=Work timer=30 If a path is not specified for the file, it will assume they are in WPIScripts.
  16. Look closely in the changelog the answer is there. A coupla versions back.
  17. look in your I386\svcpack dir and tell me what exe files are in there please. and post your svcpack.in_ as an attachment. ok I dl'ed both addons and yes they can be removed. Post your svcpack.in_ from the I386 dir...
  18. depends on the addons. If they are switchless installers delete the file from your svcpack dir and delete the corresponding reference from the svcpack.ini file. However true addons will be extremely, I mean it EXTREMELY time consuming and hard to remove.
  19. AMD 2600+ 1.5 gigs ram
  20. How many?? A coupla dozen Coupla hundred? I had a disk once that installed something like 350 extra fonts and didn't notice any issues. (Used it for a loooong time and on a lot of installs too) I wouldn't sweat it unless you got ALOT and I really mean ALOT of extra fonts.
  21. OK Here goes : Nlite copies all folder from the soure dir so you did in essence copy your windows installation Grab that i386 folder and place it at the root of your drive in a folder of its own like C:\xp\ Here are the ident files for XP home attached to this post unrar it and add these 4 files beside the i386 folder and the proceed with nlite. Now if it is a service pack less i386 you need to delete the .sp1 and .sp2 files prior to slipstreaming SP2
  22. You need 2 more files... TXTSETUP.OEM Is a MUST!!! plus I do beleive it only works properly if you have whql drivers. Henceforth you need official drivers that have the oem and cat files...
  23. WPI.htm in the classic themes folder... Line 80 Change to = <tr height="60%"> line 427 change to = <td colspan="2" bgcolor="#18339f" height="12%"> Makes it quite a bit taller! Play with these 2 values untill you get the height you want..
