  3. I'm really busy, I'm going away this weekend, so this will have to wait until next weekend (along with the new ones released next Tuesday). the_guy
  4. I agree with you completely. I don't think there are too many stickies, but if the majority says there is, why not just have 1 post serving as a directory of sorts, to list the important topics. the_guy

    QFE or GDR?

HFSLIP will always slipstream the QFE file, as it contains more fixes than the GDR version, even if it's the same version. It's been this way for a while now. the_guy
  6. I've already sent the modified patch to MDGx, and it has been uploaded to his site. If I have time in the next week or two, I will make an unofficial Q314147 patch for 95. the_guy
  7. If you didn't include WMP 11, then KB917734 and KB923689 will still show up. KB905474 is included in his WGA addon. KB928090 and KB929969 should be installed fine. I have no idea why they show up. All of your Office updates show up because Microsoft Update still shows up your Office Updates even though they are slipstreamed. You can either add the registry entries (available on the web) or reinstall them. the_guy
  8. Post your hfslip.log file (located in the root of your CD). the_guy
  9. Scripting files should work, as well as the html help files. msxml3.dll is sp8, and it should work without a hitch. MSJET files have been unchecked by me (to see dependencies) as well as the triedit files. the_guy

  11. An update to HFSLIP might be needed. Windows Server 2003 SP2 FINAL has been released. There are download pages on the download center, but it appears that the files haven't been uploaded yet. the_guy
  12. @simonw: Those bugs will be fixed for the next version. Also, a known issue: I forgot to include the newer version of hhctrl.ocx released last month. It will be included in the next beta. the_guy
  13. Finally, after so much time (and forgetfullness on my part), a new release. I was going to make this a preview release, but there is still a couple of modifications I want to make before this goes final. CHANGELOG: -Included patched shdoclc.dll (buggy .htm files) -Included patched vgx.dll (VML flaw from MS06-055) -Rolled back jscript.dll, vbscript.dll and wshom.ocx to version 5.6.0.8832 -fixed qfecheck.exe and 918047un.inf bugs -Removed metapad. Added unofficial notepad fix. -Added 920213. Replaces 890046. Does work on Windows ME. -Added fixes for dialing rules -Added Q931836 -Added shell32.dll from unofficial shell32.dll fix -Added 827078/926047. Replaces 314147. Does work on Windows ME. -Added strmdll.dll from 925398. Replaces wmp 6.4 version. -Updated rootsupd.exe to unofficial version -Updated msasn1.dll to version included in 891861 (replaces 835732 version) -Added riched20.dll from 920816. Replaces 872978 version -Removed Q329128 (for MDAC 2.5 SP3) Also, I have made a new utility that simulates the Date/Time Properties box coming up and having the OK button clicked. TO DO: -Remove DOS box from install process -Split up SUPP to move files that are not from Option 1 into a new cab file (maybe alt.cab?) -Add script 5.7 files from Vista RC2 I have my TO DO list pretty much done here, but I just want to make sure that everything is smooth. Linkage (temporary): Clicky the_guy
  14. Isn't KB917425 only for IE6 before the June 2006 security update? If I'm mistaken, can someone point me to a link for IE7? the_guy
  15. Good thing many of us (BenoitRen, myself, etc.) are NOT going to touch Windows Vista or even upgrade to it. Windows Vista killed the HLP help format as WinHlp32.exe is no longer included there. Read the article here of how Winhlp32.exe is not included in Vista: http://bink.nu/Article9369.bink Help files with the HLP extension are no longer accessible in Windows Vista. There's an update available to install the winhlp32.exe file. KB917607 for Vista adds support for the .hlp format. the_guy
  16. I had this problem on Friday, but on Sunday it worked again. the_guy
  17. Version of jscript.dll included in KB917344: 5.6.0.8831 Version of jscript.dll included in IE7: 5.7.0.5730 KB917344 is not needed, as jscript.dll is the only patched file. the_guy
  18. Problem with this method. 2 public hotfixes, KB872901 and KB836880 have a prefix directx9-kb. Those are hotfixes, which should go in HFSLIP. Is there anyway you could work around this, maybe making an extension for files named directx?-kb*.exe? Other than this, there appears to be no problems with the latest test release. the_guy
  19. If it helps, I can send a copy of jscript.dll from Vista RC2 to see if it fixes the problem. the_guy
  20. KB928090 for IE7 does not include browseui.dll. That file is included in the update for IE6. the_guy
  21. Just download IE7 for XP and there is jscript.dll version 5.7.0.5730. the_guy
  22. use the link found on MDGx's site: http://www.mdgx.com/web.htm#9SU, but that's an old version, so use the link in the post above yours. the_guy
  23. For the registry file, add it through a cmd file (maybe runonceex?). As for your other problem, I have no idea. the_guy
  24. New updates are now in the list! Happy patching. the_guy
  25. List updated with February 2007 updates. the_guy
