  1. This looks like a type 2 hotfix, however it, WindowsXP-KB905474-ENU-x86-Standalone.exe, does not install silently from svcpack using: KB905474.EXE /q:A /R:NDoes anyone know an alternative working switch. TIA The only thing I can suggest is to extract the file, and install WGANOT~1.EXE inside the file with the /q /n /z switch. the_guy
  2. I'm not sure about that. Also, don't talk about warez here. the_guy
  3. Finding Lost cd keys This link shows how to do this for both Windows 98 and Office 97. the_guy
  4. That must be your problem then. Somehow the highmat files are being included on your CD. I am currently at a loss. Can you post your hfslip.log file? the_guy
  5. KB831240. It is supported by HFSLIP, though. I have no idea what's causing the error. the_guy
  6. I noticed a couple problems: 1. HFSLIP is making new sections instead of appending to the end of an existing section. 2. The error is from the HighMAT update. I have no idea what's causing the directory label to not show up. the_guy
  7. Yes it is. @boooggy: It is uploaded at Xable's share. the_guy
  8. There is a fix for the thumbnail issue. The bad news: you have to contact Microsoft to get it. The fixed file is shell32.dll, so if that file is in a security update or a public update in the next few weeks, I'll give it a whirl to make sure that nothing is still broken. the_guy
  9. The thing that prompts the update to show is the existance of msjava.dll in a version other than 5.0.3810. What are you doing to add that file? the_guy
  10. I'll be sending a revised Q926247 update to MDGx in the next few days with an install prompt and it won't install on Windows 95. Replace snmp.exe and snmpapi.dll with the versions from the Windows 95 Winsock2 update. the_guy
  11. Just ignore this. I think I found a new bug though. usbport.sys is only getting patched if it's not in sp4.cab on Windows 2000. the_guy
  12. I'm just wondering, does the USB polling frequency patch do anything on Windows 2000? I know it modifies usbport.sys on XP/2003, but all the usb*.sys files on Windows 2000 have the exact same md5 checksum before and after using nlite. Am I looking at the wrong files, or is there no need for this patch on a Windows 2000 computer? Other than that, nlite works great for me. the_guy
  13. @erpdude8: What errors are appearing with the unofficial 926247 patch? What OS are these errors appearing on? What missing export? There shouldn't be any on a 98SE system, I might just revise it to not install on 95. the_guy
  14. @Super-Magician: KB908521 is for Windows, as rpcrt4.dll is a Windows file. Not sure if it's supported though. the_guy
  15. This is still not working here. It might be the OS. Both computers I tried this on are running Windows XP w/SP2, ff version 2.0.0.1. Maybe something broke in ff 2.0.0.1? the_guy EDIT: I just tried this in FF2.0 and it works. Looks like Mozilla broke something in 2.0.0.1.
  16. New issue: The 'Forum Options' drop down menu doesn't work with Firefox 2.0.0.1. It works perfectly with IE7. the_guy Tested with FF 2.0 and it works. Fixed
  17. Merry Christmas guys! the_guy
  18. There's a new version of the office update engine, same download link as before. I'm not sure if it fixes the header bug, though. the_guy
  19. Updated list with December fixes. the_guy
  20. List updated with December fixes. the_guy
  21. List updated with December fixes. the_guy
  22. Sorry. I meant 925398 in the changelog. It's correct in the list, though. the_guy
  23. I'd do it the same as how WMP10 was incorporated to the XP SP1 list. the_guy
