  1. @soporific: What version of msieftp.dll did you have? the_guy
  2. Compare the md5 hashes for those fixes to the list posted in this forum. the_guy
  3. I'm still getting an error on line 0 on 98SE after files are extracted. I will send a pic this weekend. the_guy
  4. I just checked, and the fan is plugged in to the correct location. the_guy
  5. @S-M: KB912945 caused the same error because of mshtml.dll. Can you try without KB928029 to see if it works properly then? the_guy
  6. I'll check the CPU fan plug today to see if it's plugged into the correct spot, and yes, it is a three-plug fan. If that doesn't work, I'll be checking the temperature of the CPU. the_guy
  7. Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a problem. I have my computer in S3 power-saving state (just changed it 15 mins. ago) and my CPU fan won't turn off. No matter what I read, S1 keeps the fan going and S3 turns it off. Even is S3, my CPU fan remains fully spinning. I first encountered the problem when I (unknowingly) had a bad stick of RAM, and I let someone fix it. They updated the BIOS and changed the fan. I am currently at a loss. Specs: Intel D845HV motherboard Intel P4 1.5Ghz processor 640 MB RAM nVidia Geforce 4000 video card Windows XP Pro SP2 Does anyone know how to fix this? the_guy
  8. @erpdude8: I sent MDGx a fixed copy of the patch a couple days ago. I'm still unsure if it was uploaded. the_guy
  9. @erpdude8: send it. I might have already fixed most of the problems, but if not, the updated ink would be a good help. the_guy
  10. Sorry about the typo. Thinking one thing and typed something else. The .inf's for 95 (3 varieties in one package) and 98 (2 varieties in one package) use registry keys to check. the_guy
  11. I know the answer to a couple of questions, but I`m clueless to the rest. 10)You can use ModifyPE (found in the unattended guide) but I`m not sure if it works on 9x 11)Sysinternals had a tool called sigverif. 15)I thought that it looked at kernel32.dll for that information. the_guy
  12. There's already a couple vista security updates: KB890830 and KB905866. Is this topic going to be stickied? the_guy
  13. Quick update guys: Finals for me are coming up for this semester at school. I don't think I'll be able to release anything before the first weekend in February. I will still be here from time to time though. If something is released before then, it will be in the next week. the_guy
  14. @Tomcat: A couple errors on your dynamic pages. 1) KB929969 is NOT an IE cumulative update. It replaces MS06-055, an update for vgx.dll. This is on all pages. 2) KB929969 is also for IE7. This is just on your XP SP2 and 2003 SP1 pages. the_guy
  15. KB891711 wants to find files in the system\KB891711 directory. The unofficial update puts them in system\U891711. That might be the problem. the_guy
  16. I'm getting an error on Windows 98SE after all files have been extracted from an archive successfully. It's a weird error. the_guy
  17. List updated for January 2007 updates. the_guy
  18. List updated for January 2007 updates. the_guy
  19. List updated for January 2007 updates. the_guy
  20. I discover that with IE7, only 3 files from hotfix KB917344 are updated. All the others are updated by the hotfix: so, if KB917344 isn't installed, all the other files aren't updated. Details: Updated by IE7: ADVPACK.DLL (7.0.5730.11), jscript.dll (5.7.0.5730), vbscript.dll (5.7.0.5730). Updated by KB917344 and NOT by IE7: cscript.exe, dispex.dll, jsit.dll, scoit.dll, scrobj.dll, scrrnit.dll, scrrun.dll, vbsit.dll, wscript.exe, wshcon.dll, wshext.dll, ws***.dll, wshom.ocx. So, in my opinion, if you remove KB917344 because IE7, you will update only those 3 files, while all the others will remain those original from XP SP2. So, I think it is necessary not to remove KB917344. Somebody agree with me? If you have the old scripten.exe file, you are protected. The full version of 917344 (which included cscript.exe) still only updated jscript.dll. Your choice. Also, the list will be updated later tonight. the_guy
  21. @Tomcat: Microsoft states on there site that the rollup is required before wmp11 can be installed. the_guy
  22. @antonio_king: The majority of them were released. A few don't even have a kb article. it just makes sense to me as they aren't MCE only updates anyway. the_guy
  23. @Tomcat: Is there any way that you can code HFSLIP to process KB900325 for non-MCE computers? The only difference would be to exclude the KB900325.exe file unless the source was MCE. This is especially useful as there are normal XP hotfixes included in the Rollup. the_guy
