Tomcat doesn't mirror updates. I was just saying where to get the microsoft link from. HFNetChk complains about the 913433 issue even if you install flash 8. the_guy
-
@Tomcat: Microsoft released v2 of 911280 today. Just thought I'd give you a heads up about it to update your lists and, maybe, see if you need to modify HFSLIP to support v2 on 2000. the_guy
-
For starters, you have an XP SP1 hotfix. Get the correct version of 904706 from Tomcat's site. Greater than expected and invalid checksums can be safely ignored. Use the -nosum switch to get hfnetchk to ignore checksums. As for the MS04-041 issue, I have no idea, the_guy
-
I just put it through dependency walker, and it needs msvbvm60.dll installed to work. the_guy
-
I have no idea about the version 7. I think it might be .Net Framework which is installing those files. the_guy
-
Oops. Never mind. I thought that the version in the sp was older, not newer. New Service Pack to be released some time this evening (my time). the_guy

Sorry MDGx. I did mean 906216. The only files I added so far were msvcp60.dll, triedit.dll, and mfc42.dll. eidenk said that they worked on ME. The ones I have are in the system32 directory (except triedit.dll), right? the_guy PS. Does anyone know the switch to not have the google toolbar install with Shockwave?
-
I just found out that those files (i believe) come from XP sp2. Those files will be included in beta 5. Also, I am including flash and shockwave, but in a separate option in case people don't want to install them. I might even include dhtmled.ocx from xp sp2 update 916216. the_guy EDIT: I think I will also include msvcp60.dll in beta 5. @Eidenk: could you also check that msvbvm60.dll version 6.0.96.90 (from xpsp2 i believe) works properly on ME?

put Internet Explorer in brackets. Or, you could go Intern~1. the_guy

Thanks eidenk. I was leaning towards putting them in anyway. Still, if anyone doesn't want them in, let me know. Where could I obtain those files at? If they are just on a CD, I don't think i'd put them in. Also, please post any problems with qfecheck. As well, please post what you think about getting rid of copying files to %windir%\Options\Install and %windir%\Options\Cabs. the_guy

Hey guys, I'm sorry but I don't have beta 4 ready right now. Maybe by the end of the day? A couple of quick questions: Would you guys like to see Macromedia (now Adobe) Flash, Shockwave, both, or neither? Personally, I'm leaning towards just flash, as that's already installed with Windows. If you want any of them, I am unsure about whther they'd make it into beta 4 or they'd have to wait until beta 5/RC1 (still unsure). Also, is anyone experiencing an issue with qfecheck? Start->run->type qfecheck, and click the plus sign (+) for the main update to see if there is any issues. If there is, please tell me. I hope to have beta 4 ready by the end of the day. the_guy

1) The file list for 918547 is Kb918547.exe-4.10.0.2224, Q918547.dll-4.10.0.2224. 2) 908519 just includes t2embed.dll. Thefix file is 908519FX.EXE. 3) Your 905915 list has the listed files for 2003 sp0. Maybe you could remove the obsolete IE updates. 4) The file list for 891711 is Kb891711.exe-4.10.0.2223, Q891711.dll-4.10.0.2222. 5) Hypertrm.exe and Hypertrm.dll are version 5.0 for 274548. 6) 837009 is replaced by 823353 and 887797 (officially). 7) You should probably remove the obsolete files. If you want to, I could make a list. the_guy

To fix the 914798 problem, try installing the v2 of the update. I just found out that it was re-released on this month's patch tuesday. Also, for the other problem, try putting the attached .inf in your hfsvcpack folder. It should work as all the binaries in 839645 are replaced by later updates. the_guy 839645fx.inf

@Tomcat If you click the link to the download page for 914798 for XP SP1, you can see that there is a new version out. I just noticed it, even though it got updated on patch day. the_guy

To disable the "hard IE" you need to go into the windows components section and uncheck the box. When it's uninstalled, you need to change the home page (if you haven't already) the_guy

i will add enhsig.dll to the SP ASAP. @MDGx: I already have the installer disabling SR/SFP. @all: I plan to have a new version available on Monday. It will include an uninstaller for 918547. the_guy
-
Thanks erpdude 1 question remains: does anyone want the rest of the riched files from riched9x.exe included? Also, is there a need for the installer to copy the files to %windir%\Options\Install\ and %windir%\Options\Cabs\? If not, let me know and I'll remove the references. Does anyone want seperate 918547 uninstall information available, like the 891711 uninstall? the_guy

I plan on making beta 4 released in a few days. I have included 918547, 917344, and the newer versions of usp10.dll and riched20.dll included in MDGx's riched9x.exe files. A couple of questions first: 1. Should I add all of the files from MDGx's cryptme.exe file? (offtopic, it's missing start.exe and nircmd.exe) 2. Should I add the rest of the files from the riched9x.exe file? I also need some help. If anyone has a qfecheck issue, please let me know. If it's a not found error, please let me know if the updated file is on your computer. If it is not, just disregard it. If it is on your computer, or you receive an invalid error, please let me know. I don't know how buggy that part of the sp is right now, but I hope to have it sorted out in the coming days and weeks. the_guy

Hey Tomcat, Quick question: will xp sp1 still be supported in hfslip when microsoft ends support for it? Also, 916595 replaces 887742. the_guy

Hey guys, can anyone give me a link to the hfnetchk download. I've googled it and I can't find it. If someone just has the .exe, that will be fine. the_guy
-
@Petr, that is the batch file I use for the ME SP. It works fine for me. the_guy
-
It looks it. It replaces scripten AND 917344. the_guy

From the browseui.dll issue, it appears browseui.dll wouldn't copy over from the hotfix to the sourcess folder. the_guy
