  1. An idea for ya Tomcat: For the IE6 SP1 update for XPSP1 and 2000 SP4(same download), and all updates for XPSP2 and 2003, why not make HFSLIP integrate the QFE version of the file. It might make it easier for ya, and might let users integrate unofficial updates (that they get themselves). the_guy
  2. @Camerade_Tux: the mshtml.dll build 1544 is the QFE version, not the GDR version. the_guy
  3. I was 16th voter! I can't vote in the location thing because it doesn't have my town added in. the_guy
  4. Windows Live Messenger doesn't even work on Windows 2000. There are unresolved dependency's with it, which prevents WLM with working with any pre-XP OS. the_guy
  5. microsoft updated the file on their download servers yesterday. You can get it from the download center again. the_guy
  6. Here ya go: 904942 from WU. Direct download from Windows Update. the_guy
  7. @MDGx: Could you also update that text on your IE page as well? Ooops. Looked at the wrong update when I posted that. Thnaks again MDGx. the_guy
  8. No problem. @erpdude8: on your IE/WMP site, could you please modify the text for the 905495 updates to be as follows: for the file IE905495.EXE: Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2/6.0 SP1 FTP client KB905495 update for Windows 98/NT4/ME for the file Q905495.EXE: Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 FTP client KB905495 update for Windows 95 Could you also add the 2K905495.EXE file and the IE912812.EXE file. @All: Who's with me that this topic should be a sticky? the_guy EDIT: @MDGx: the Q911567.EXE file is just for IE 5.5 SP2, NOT IE 6.0 SP1. The OS's there are correct
  9. Thanks for posting them MDGx. KNOWN ISSUE: The updates for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 will not install if you have installed the 912812 update. I have sent fixed patches to MDGx. the_guy
  10. I know I'm not Tomcat, but I kno why (well, almost know). A new IE update was released last week. Tomcat should have 912812 (which I'm sure he has) the_guy
  11. No it is not. The new MDAC update for XP SP1 just installs msadco.dll version 2.71.9053.0 the_guy
  12. 911565 for Windows Media Player 10 was updated on April 11. Try the new version and see if that fixes anything. the_guy
  13. I found out why 904942 doesn't get slipstreamed. The new version is only on Windows Update. You need to go to the Windows Update Catalog to download the new version. the_guy
  14. If you want to go to the Windows update catalog (v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog) you can get the new version of 904942. Or, I can post it to somewhere like rapidshare. the_guy

  16. Microsoft released a second version of 911565 for Windows XP. It includes wmp.dll version 10.0.0.4019. I also believe Microsoft re-released 904942. the_guy
  17. The 912812 update supersedes 905915 and 910620 (IE 5.01SP4 only). The 911567 update supersedes 823353, 887797, and 897715 on 2000 and XP SP1, and 887797 and 900930 on XP SP2. the other 2 don't replace any updates to my knowledge. the_guy
  18. 19. List updated to include the new hotfixes the_guy
  20. added. Am I the lone canuck? EDIT: It's not letting me add myself. Oh well, try again later.
  21. Yes it is. If you want, could you please try it to see if there are any problems? the_guy
  22. Beta 3 now available. The link is on mytempdir, file id 567134 Changes in beta 3: -fixed inf files Please try and see if it works. the_guy
  23. That computer had the IE7 beta 2 preview installed. If anyone can tell me what patches are affected by this, I will gladly reissue them. the_guy EDIT: I know the patches. I will reissue them ASAP.
  24. PROBLEMCHYLD, Follow the manual fix (the command from the runbox is <path to file>\MP912452.EXE /q /t:c:\temp /c) the_guy
  25. I have fixed the update. The only problem was that it wouldn't work if you had installed the MS06-005 911565 update for 98 and ME. I have resent the patch to MDGx and I am awaiting the new version to be uploaded by him. Manual fix: Extract the files to a temporary directory and right-click the inf file and select install. The disabling STMGR and SR are NOT needed because wmp.dll is not protected by Windows ME's sfp feature. the_guy
