  1. that is a major typo. look at the version of vgx.dll the_guy
  2. The bulletin states that XP SP1 needs the XP SP1 file. I personally think this is an HFNetChk error. I noticed in HFNetChk that the .xml file is from the shavlik website, not the microsoft website. Try using HFNetChk with the microsoft .xml file. If this doesn't fix the issue, I can send Tomcat76 with a link to the 883586 update for Windows 2000 SP4/ XP SP1 and XP SP2. the_guy
  3. @Tomcat: why is 833989 for SP1 readded? That update is ONLY for Windows 2000/98/ME/NT4 with IE6 SP1 installed. When it's installed on Windows XP SP1, IE uses the OS version of the component (gdiplus.dll). the_guy
  4. @Gurgelmeyer I have just obtained 898465 for Windows 2000, and have sent it to your gmail account. the_guy

  7. I sent it. I also sent you 897711. I am currently trying to obtain 898465. If anyone has that update, could they please share it? the_guy

  18. The "type 1" hotfixes would be, for example, any update to XP SP2. The "type 2" hotfixes would be the self-extracting Microsoft cab archive. the_guy
  19. A quick question/suggestion. Is there a way for Universal Extractor to work with new hotfixes for Windows? I mean, the /x:<target dir> switch instead of using 7-zip. That way, it will work with all Type-1 hotfixes and not just some. Maybe something similar to what it does with type 2 hotfixes. the_guy
  20. you can still try the first link. If you give the files in the correct language, it should work without incident. the_guy

  25. @Tomcat The XPSP1 912812 fix, is that also for 2000 sp4 with IE6? It's just that 2000sp4+IE6 uses the exact same file as XPSP1. You don't need to do this for 2000sp4+IE5.01sp4 the_guy
