  1. Done! Note to all: I haven't gone through the uninstall section in a while, so to me, uninstallation is compltely UNsupported. Sorry, but I just don't have the time. If anyone else does, send me a PM as I have done some slight changes to it already. the_guy

    WGA

There are SOME 2000 downloads that require WGA, but according to someone with Microsoft (can't remember where I read this), 2000 computers should pass automatically. the_guy
  3. Wrong forum. Post it in the forum issues section. Also, it appears to be a known issue with the forum, and the Admins are trying to fix it. the_guy
  4. Thanks MDGx. the_guy
  5. A few posts up from this one (beside the word edit, the top post of this page). It is here the_guy EDIT: Changed link to MDGx's.
  6. Now that you are on that topic, why don't you also update the front page to include the Windows 2000 Update Rollup (891861) and IE7 BETA3 (all versions)? Also, maybe make a separate section for beta software? just a suggestion. the_guy
  7. I noticed a few errors in SPUNINST.INF, but to me they are mainly cosmetic. They will get fixed in the next release. the_guy
  8. I have fixed those 2 errors erpdude8, and replaced mfc42.dll with the newer 2003sp1 version, as well as tidying up the main INF a little bit. It will be uploaded ASAP. the_guy EDIT: See below
  9. @erpdude8: I think it would be a good idea, but it just wouldn't be put into the SP as I feel it would be too big and bulky. Also, that new version of mfc42.dll will be included in the next version. the_guy
  10. Beta 5 now available. Notable changes: *Removed unneeded runtimes *Removed Flash and Shockwave Players *Removed riched.dll and riched32.dll *Updated extrac32.exe *Fixed Timestamps (iexpress.exe/wextract.exe updated to 2003 version, makecab.exe downgraded to ieak6 version) *Other fixes Link is here until MDGx uploads to his server. Also, I think this might be the last version before I make an RC, unless there are any major bugs. the_guy EDIT: Link pulled.
  11. That hotfix comes with the Intellimouse software. Done! Note that I didn't add the newer version. I don't think so. If anyone finds out otherwise, let me know. Done! Done. Thanks MDGx, the_guy
  12. I'm posting chunks of it (the parts that need updating) every month after patch day. the_guy
  13. If you are running XP SP2, ADD: 917159 and 914388. (not sure about 917537) REMOVE: 896422. If you are installing dotnet2: ADD: 917283 (ryan's switchless installer already includes this) (if not using ryan's installer, make sure this is installed AFTER dotnet 2. the_guy
  14. @jimmsta: I plan on updating my SP in a few days to make it as bug-free as possible. the_guy
  15. I made an unofficial 909363 update for 98/ME. It is on MDGx's site. About the other 2, I have no idea. the_guy
  16. thanks erpman. I hope to have the next beta of the ME SP available ASAP. It will be out by Monday if everything stays on schedule. the_guy
  17. I'm using iexpress.exe and wextract.exe from IEAK6 (as of the next release). I am using makecab.exe from the cabsdk. I believe that is the only version that doesn't have the time/date stamp problem. the_guy
  18. I think I stumbled on a temporary solution. Disable Protective Mode in the Internet Properties. Vista will complain but IE will work. the_guy
  19. I'll most likely post this on Neowin by the end of the day. the_guy
  20. Download MP832353.EXE instead for 98SE as it replaces 828026. the_guy
  21. @FDV: Ubunto sounds like a neat OS. I have a Live CD of it, but it just won't work with my wireless card. the_guy
  22. @MDGx: I thought that Windows ME included start.exe on all systems. I 'll redo those updates in the coming days then, it looks like. the_guy
  23. It doesn't work because the vulnerability itself does not affect Windows 98/SE/ME. An unofficial .Net 2.0 with the update will install on 98/SE/ME, however. the_guy
