  1. Done! I'm also moving the qfecheck files to supp.cab. the_guy
  2. 320798 is Korean only. Not English. That's why 4.10.2225 is different. the_guy
  3. No problem. This is what you put right above the strings line: TargetWin9xVersion=4.90.3000:%OSWarn%:OK TargetNTVersion=0:%OSWarn%:OK And under the [strings] line: OSWarn=This Service Pack is for Windows Millennium Edition only. So, when your done, it should be: TargetWin9xVersion=4.90.3000:%OSWarn%:OK TargetNTVersion=0:%OSWarn%:OK [Strings] OSWarn=This Service Pack is for Windows Millennium Edition only. You might want to translate the bottom line. the_guy
  4. According to 318293, the issue is resolved on ME, 2000, XP, and 2003. the_guy
  5. Another link is a security advisory: here. the_guy
  6. IE6 SP1 is NOT NECESSARY in this SP. Gape just recommends IE6SP1 i believe. Thanks Max_04. As soon as I see a link, I'll add it to the main post. the_guy
  7. Hey LLXX, If you get it working from the 313829 version, can you try patching the NT4 version from MS04-037 (with Active Desktop) as well? the_guy
  8. No they are not. They are included with Vista beta 2 though, but I don't think that I should use those files. the_guy
  9. 916281 is replaced by 918899, and 913446 is replaced by 917953. the_guy
  10. I have no idea what bug you're talking about. I don't believe it does. I don't even know if Microsoft is aware of the issue. I plan on requesting KB915113 which updates browseui.dll to version 6.0.2800.1807 in the next few days. the_guy
  11. Microsoft also did that for Windows Server 2003 SP0 on the same day. They also did that for 2000/XP back in June. I think jscript.dll and vbscript.dll will be upgraded to 5.6.0.8833 in the next version unless someone else has a reason not to. the_guy
  12. Ok. What do you think about jscript.dll and vbscript.dll from IE7 beta 3? the_guy
  13. @erpdude: Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking about doing that. I might even update vbscript.dll and jscript.dll to version 5.6.0.8833, included with IE7 Beta 2. Also, does anyone know why dispex.dll version 5.6.0.8825 does not work on any 9x OS's? the_guy
  14. They should work fine. They are normal updates. the_guy
  15. @winxpi: Just copying the file might mess up IE. That's why I'm waiting until MS rereleases 918899 to include it in my patch. the_guy
  16. 916846 replaces MS06-035 on XP and 2003, as well as MS06-030 on XP SP1. the_guy
  17. @MDGx: I have attached a list of file changes between 12-14-2005 and now. Just thought I'd help you out a little bit. the_guy
  18. I would not bother requesting 923762. Microsoft is updating 918899 on August 22 to include the fix in 923762. I will update the 98/SE/ME/NT4 fix at that time. the_guy
  19. @winxpi: Microsoft is re-releasing the MS06-042 update to include that fix next Tuesday (August 22). If you can wait that long, I would. the_guy
  20. Also, Microsoft plans to re-release MS06-042 for 2000 SP4 and XP SP1 to fix the urlmon.dll issue on August 22. I plan on redoing my patch at that time to include the new urlmon.dll. the_guy
  21. Hey guys, Thought I'd give you all a nice little gift, A fully working version! Yes, this means beta 6 is now available for download. I installed it on a fresh install and it works perfect. Link is temporarily here until MDGx uploads it to his server. I hope it works perfectly fine for everyone. If not, let me know. Still unsure about leaving the 918547 files from MS (updated by an anonymous person). For those wondering about where 832414 is, I removed it as it would require msxml 3 installed for WU to work. the_guy
  22. Didn't notice that, sorry. Can you please update dxm9xie5.exe and dxmntie5.exe to include danim.dll from MS06-042 for IE5 on 2000 SP4, as well as dxtrans.dll and maybe dxtmsft.dll from MS06-042 for IE6 on 2000 SP4? the_guy
  23. Looks good MDGx. Thanks for adding the patches. On the note of the DXM patches, could you update the version of danim.dll to the versions included in MS06-042. For IE6, the version is 6.3.1.148, while for IE 5.x it's version 6.1.9.729 (last one only in IE 5.01 fix). the_guy EDIT: Also, could you remove the IEPEERS.DLL fix for IE6 SP1 on all OS's as it's replaced by MS06-042.
  24. Sent! I've also obtained 838751, which includes msvcrt.dll 6.1.9847.0. It's also sent your way MDGx. Maybe include those 2 files in 98SE2ME? They only have dependencies in kernel32.dll (when used together). New release sometime today! the_guy
  25. I have added new hhctrl.ocx to HHUPD.EXE [unofficial HTML Help 1.41 for 98/NT4/ME]:http://www.mdgx.com/add.htm#HHU and included the reg entries from the Win2000 INF. Thanks. I believe MS updated only XP SP1 + 2000 SP4 versions of URLMON.DLL, which do not work properly with 98/ME in my experience. The last 98/ME urlmon.dll version that works properly with IE 6.0 SP1 on my PC is 6.00.2800.1551 [from official cumulative update MS06-042]. HTH Thanks MDGx, the_guy
