  1. Welcome Garter:hello: , and good luck with your RIS explorations!!! It is a bit of work to get set up, but once it is up and running it is well worth the time See ya around!!! Cheezus420
  2. Andromeda43, I agree 100% Most americans are so lazy though. It takes time to plan out your day and consolidate your trips into a single trip. In america, time is $$$, and $$$ is the essence of life. Pretty sad huh It will take some pretty extreme gas prices to get people here to finally start to drive conservatively... and with all that is happening with hurricane Katrina, we will proabably be seeing these extreme gas prices VERY SOON!!! Personally, Im bustin' out my bike and am gunna start pedalin' my a** around as much as possible. Just my 2 cents!!! Cheezus420 P.S. I 2 have seen grown men in near tears over their cars... pretty sad sight
  3. Welcome xxx9527, Good 2 hear your enjoyin' this forum with the rest of us. See ya around!!! Cheezus420
  4. I use a program called "WISCON.exe". I run this file at the very last stage of setup, right before cleanup.cmd is run and the comp reboots. WISCON is just a program that allows you to set the comp name, user name, set up user account, etc. Very simple program, but effective. Check it out!!! Get it here B)
  5. I've always wanted one on those GOUKI, Strongly suggest this movie (if you dont already have it )
  6. Just thought id check back in on my poll, and Im seein' the exact results that I expected All in all, I think all support sux, some more than others of course. This is y us non-computer illiterat folk stick to building our own machines, and being our own computer supporters. A forum like this is 1,000,000,000,000,000 times better than any computer support line (not always as quick but way more effective ) Keep on votin'
  7. UndeadSoldier: WOW... and here I thought you were just F*$%in' with me. Im truly impressed. If only a talent like that could get you somewhere in life Good work soldier!!! Cheezus420
  8. Excelent... Thanks for the update news!!!
  9. Good call. I cant belive I forgot about Tron Classic
  10. Hmmmm.... I followed roguespears guide to the t and it worked great for me (however it did take me 2 tries to get it to work. I had problems understanding steps 17 and 19, but got them figured out. Let me know if these parts were unclear, Maybe I can help to explain) Did u try to just place the driver files (.inf, .sys, and .cat) right into the i386 on your RIS, and then restarting the service??? That may solve your problem.
  11. Ive been using RIS running on a windows 2003 server. This has worked great, seeing that most of the machines here all have different hardware setup. There are driver packs that I use (created by Bashrat the sneaky). They work GREAT . However if you use them with an RIS setup, you have to do a few extra steps to get them up and running all right. here are a couple links to check out and read up on: Bashrat the sneaky and for RIS: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...s+installation] B)
  12. I was able to send an executable after compressing it as a .rar Maybe gmail just likes me better
  13. you can use DetachedProgram. It runs @ t-39 min mark of the windows gui install. Check out ref.chm to learn more about it (ref.chm is located in deploy.cab in the support\tools folder on your XP disk) Hope this works for ya'
  14. Do you mean in an unattended install, or just in general??? If you mean during an unattended setup, you can add it to "DetachedProgram" which runs at the t-39 min mark of install. That would install it before GuiRunOnce or RunOnceEx. Does this help??? Or, as spazmire11 said, you could just have it installed before anything else... It doesnt require a reboot or anything like that. B)
  15. In winnt.sif, make sure OEMPreinstall is set to "yes"

    Hello

Whats up Doc. Welcome, and enjoy!!
  17. Ive been told its true for both (by different people of course)... **** hippies always making things up
  18. How does this work... is it bootable, or do you have to be in windows for it to work???
  19. hehe, try calling sony support. I had to call them for service on an amplifier that I bought from them, and I think they had me talking to a darn robot... Literally a deaf and dumb robot at that It must have been mu crazy wisconsin accent that threw the robot off, but it didnt understand a darn thing that I said to it... I finally ended up screaming into the phone... it finally got the clue
  20. Low level format is done by the maufacturer... I think??? You can try getting yourself a disk to boot off of, or something that will let you access the c:\ drive. Then maybe hook up another slave drive and try to transfer data between the two. Just an idea, not sure if it will work
  21. svcpack.inf method... all the way. I have had no good luck with the /integrate method. Especially after applying Driver packs... for some reason for me the /integrate method stops working all together then???
  22. Nice... Good tip!!! I swear I learn something new every day Thanks for that tip
  23. I recall seeing something about this before... I will search around a bit, and let you know if I find anything. ( I suggest you do the same )
