  1. Have you checked the Purevideo config utility? I think you have to start media center and then play the video file and then minimize Media center the get the config util to show in the system tray. not sure how to set it up though but ill think you figgure it out. another thing could be to install ffdshow and set it up from there
  2. Thanx alot cluberti.. ill try (but on top of it all i manage to blow up the psu of that computer so i have to wait until i get my hands on a new one , maby in a few days or so is sucks!!!!) Thanx alot once again
  3. I do have Windows 2000 for an older machine that i dont use anymore. maby i can use that instead? Or do you think i will have problem getting the video-out to work even with Win 2000? I have a feeling that the drivers for Win 2000 is just DRIVERS nothing more!? if you know what i mean, i am getting the feeling that the TV-out function will still not be availible!?!? am i right or wrong? Shuld i go for Windows 98 instead if i still want to use this card?
  4. Oki thats the Win2000 drivers that you can find on SiS website and they work but not with the TV-Out function!!!... Oki so the card worx only with directX6? as long as i can use the computer to watch movies with i am satisfied, doeas it work?
  5. Okey thats what i have done aswell, Installed Win Xp on a machine that originaly came with Win98 I have both Composite and S-Video on the card. And when i installed winxp i had the S-video conected to the TV but that didnt change anything. Maby if i try the composite it will work? Is there any particulaur/special diferences between Composite and S-Video? Thanx for the fast reply
  6. Oki as the topic says. I am building a HTPC from some old parts and i have this SiS6326 Graphic Card that i cant seem to find the drivers for, for Windows XP (i have XP installed on the machine using a unattended CD with BTS Drivers Pack) WinXP recognice the card as a SiS6326 but in the propperties for the card its as dead as a Standard VGA card setup, meaning i cant seem to find any options for the TV-Out function (or anything else for that matter) Is there a program i can use like TV-Tool or something? for the SiS6326 card or does anyone have any ide on what to do? Thanx
  7. well yes! OR you do a UNATTENDED WinXp install disc!
  8. Okey i will not use this machine to encode or rip movies/music. Only PLAY movies music on it. (i found some more memory to put in aswell now) And what i mean by optimize is software tweaks (i will not invest any money on new hardware for this machine) I am using meedio for the HTPC software! What about Windows XP Media Center Edition? is that an option to look at.
  9. Howdy! I just want to ask you guys this! I have just assembled a HTPC of some quite old parts. [This is the system] Motherboard: QDI Advance 10T (old one) CPU: Intel Celeron 800Mhz RAM: 128Mb Graphic: Inno3D nVidia Geforce 2 MX HDD: 1x8Gb, 1x16Gb Network: Noname 10/100Mbit Remote: ATi Remote Wonder As you see its not ideal for a HTPC but i have made a very well stripped down version of WinXP to make it as clean and fast as possible. But my question is can i tweak it and optimize it any further. The purpouse is MOVIES, MUSIC and show Pictures, The weather and such easy tasks The most resourcefull task i guess is the Movies (XviD and DVDs) Give me tips of tweaks and configs and optimize tips for this quite old machine To search te net didnt give much since most tips are for fully intalled WinXP on newer machines and ALOT of the tips are faulty and bougus tweaks anyway so i thought why not ask here, the best resource on the net Thanx (ill be happy to give more info on my system if you wanna help)
  10. oki first of all ripken204, i dont have a ATi card in that machine. Its a nVidia Geforce 2 MX And second after installing TVTool i got it working (to bad its tryoutware) well all i need to do now is to have this configuration set to standard so i dont have to do this crap everytime i start the computer. (by the way i actually have no ide what i did to get it to work with the black screen problem, so if someone still want to explain that would be nice) Thanx
  11. Oki the problem is. I got my hands on an old computer. Everything works fine and I got it hooked up to my TV (using it as htpc) but one problem remains (kind of big) i cant get the movie i play on the computer to show up on the TV, media player classic its just all black on the TV I am new to nVidia cards so ANY help would be much appriciated. Thanx a bunch
