With nlite, you can remove the "Press any key to boot on the CD..."; imagine : you use your CD under windows, reboot and forget to remove the CD, your computer has been formatted! As for the missing files, could you give on or two names ? It's indeed possible driver.cab is corrupted, it's also possible some other files are corrupted. Same method applies. (and applies to the original CD too) Have you tried making another iso ? Sometimes, especially if the computer is under heavy load because of another process nlite process may encounter some problems.

Won't solve your problem just a nice proggy to use instead of windows's component : uTool (much much faster)

Key 421 does not exist indeed. It was the number of the line in the text document, displayed by N++. I think it was key 308 instead. For key 173, I don't get the meaning : I don't get the purpose of such a thing and can't find it in wihu or in wihu. :/ Does it correspond to the account that is the most likely to be used ? Still only using XP. :/ I tried SuSe 9.3 but had to stop because my Radeon X700 Mobility was badly recognized, therefore I messed up my X server, and because of problematic hard drive I kept until Tuesday, I've not been able to reinstall. I'll probably use Vista. However it will not be the standard distribution, will be much lighter. Also, I've read there would be a no graphical display version of Vista Server to save some memory. Is it true ? This would be really interesting because WMP and other softs wouldn't need to be as big as they are now. Of course, this implies they still exist.

Hi everybody, I have an µA CD which still has a problem : there is no ad blocking. Of course, I know Firefox has Adblock, Opera a good ad blocker... but I'd like to blocks ads on IE. My main concern now is with intellitxt.com ads. These are simply sh** and I will never tolerate such ads (to any webmaster, never use this, you will get lots of angry visitors). However, each website has a different subdomain for this so I need a different entry for each one, which is pretty boring. Example : #intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 generation-nt.fr.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 ratiatum.fr.intellitxt.com 127.0.0.1 toms.us.intellitxt.com I tried to use IE's security zones : I added "*.intellitxt.com" to the dangerous one but it had no effect. I tried eDexter which is still a very good product but haven't been able to use the PAC part with IE (PAC method should let you block websites using wildcards). With FF, there was no problem, probably because there was a "Reload PAC file" button. :? eDexter successfully blocked intellitxt.com ads, even in IE, by providing a dummy document.write() javascript function (=>prevents the words from being underlined). Does anything else could use document.write() ? Also has anyone succesfully used eDexter/PAC with IE ? This would be the best solution. Thanks.

ive got a single 80gig hdd... its good for now but ill spring for a 320gig perpendicular hdd by seagate sometime soon. I too have one. Ok, it's on a laptop. I thought most update packs could be integrated using a /integrate switch. Also, according to this screenshot, nlite has (fast) nothing to do to integrate. So saying nlite has a "support" for this pack is a bit too much imho and therefore, there is support to remove. PS: I know there this entry in nlite's changelog "update: Sereby Pack integration support returned ", I guess this was only an small error in nlite. Oh, and forgot to say : "this is not the correct place to discuss this pack!"

As for the choice of the proper inf : it doesn't matter, you can take the inf you want.

Isn't outlook express an "advanced" removal ? You maybe have to tick a checkbox to display advanced removals (should be under the list) PS: I'm not sure such a box exists; I just can't remember. :/

As far as I remember, last time I saw such a problem, nlite got stuck on tcpip.sys which is quite often replaced with cracked version to circumvent the limitation on the number of half-opened connections. As nuhi said it is likely to be caused by a modified dll.

Something is really disturbing : on booogy's screenshot, nlite is compressing cabinets, so afaik it's not doing much in fact; it's makecab which is working!
