  1. As far as I'm concerned, I have WMLite10.exe and WMLite.exe and it's working without problem.
  2. Hum, nlite -> remove components -> Zip Folders ? Recently, on a freshly installed computer I used that to extract some drivers. No, in fact, I started, waited 1 or 2 minutes, thought it was definitely too slow, opened IE, went to 7-zip.org, downloaded 7-Zip, installed 7-zip, cancelled the zipfldrs.dll extraction, which was not yet at 20%, extracted with 7-Zip in less than 2 seconds. Specs : P4 D920 (always in Everest Ultimate Edition's top 5), 2Go RAM, 300Go RAID-0 Array. It's a possibility zipfldrs.dll doesn't like multi-processors systems but this would be incredible and also ridiculous.
  3. What does setuperr.log reports ? (and what about eventvwr.exe ?)
  4. And you can download the same xml file from the hfnetchk's website; same format as MS's official one afaik.
  5. Not for me.... Are you sure you import them at T-12 or T-13 ? Also what OS are you using ? @Clint, is your hive-tweak changing the radio boxes in Performance Options (let windows decide, best appearance, best performance...) or is it able to tick/untick a specific box ?
  6. Do you mean this ? Searching "Universal Plug Play Printer" returned no result. And I simply have difficulties thinking UPnP would be needed for TCP/IP Printers (something I found searching only on UPnP). UPnP only opens and forwards ports. It only does the configuration people should do on their own. But you are more experienced than I am so I have nothing to say.
  7. Bienvenue. Comme tu le remaqueras rapidement, il y a beaucoup de francophones (belges, français, québecois). Mais ça reste un forum anglophone.
  8. Logoff is enough I think. You can use HKCR\* to add something to the context menu of all files; would .00* work ? (Just a thought, never tried )
  9. Victim too I think. 10. Do Printers need UPnP ? I mean : it's a nonsense imho. UPnP has no interest for such hardware and I doubt there are many, if any, UPnP printers.
  11. See this topic : http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=78928

Make a 7zip archive of that file and upload it somewhere. I'll check it myself if I can. (ohh, what is this soft, VMWare, )
  13. Hey, I nearly had a heart attack seeing a 'warn' under my avatar. Could it be hidden if the level is still at 0% ? Thanks.
  14. I don't remove MDAC. I don't find any use for MDAC but I keep it for compatibility. Maybe I'll remove it but I have my µACD to finish first (application installs)
  15. Please attach your lastsession.ini Also, the easiest way is maybe to add these files to the [Keep] box (somewhere in the remove components window).
  16. Nope, changed nothing. I attached my HFSLIP.LOG. I'll probably try tomorrow without nlite. (I always use nlite because it makes the installation really much faster) Also, I have a question about Q832483.EXE. This updates annoys me because it takes 2MB on the CD and mostly contains files I will never need (for 2K, winME...). What should I use to recraft this package ? HFSLIP.7z HFSLIP.7z

WaitToKillAppTimeout. <- probably the reason why you can't kill an app with TaskManager. You should never set it too low (2 seconds is really the lowest value someone may use), but MS's default is just too high. And indeed, it looks like virus/trojan/malware/adware/.............
  18. Didn't tried, yet. Just too busy.
  19. Installation can not continue: Maybe (probably) because nlite has an option to recompress ASMS files; I had one bug with that option and this is only an option because it has been reported to sometimes cause bugs -Error: SXS.DLL : syntax error in the manifest file or strategy file "D:\I386\asms\10\msft\windows\gdiplus\GDIPLUS.CA_ at line 0 (file non-empty) -Error: Installation failed : D:\I386\ASMS. Error message : Analysis error of the manifest file : invalid character has been found in the text content. -Fatal Error: One of the component Windows needs to continue installation program could not be installed. (of course this is translated, and btw I'm a bit tired, it's so hot here nobody can sleep) I'm going to try to try (not a mistake ) again, without nlite's ASMS RECOMPRESSION. Btw, I have two new folders in i386 : ic (contains NETIP6.IN_) and pconfig (contains \10\msft\windows\gdiplus which contains GDIPLUS.CA_ and GDIPLUS.MA_)
  20. Testing right now. My first impression ? Flashy colors.
  21. I was wondering how 2 (seafood allergy) out of 42 could make 14%. 42/3 = 14 Before that, I saw 9 votes; 9/3 = 3. And there is 3 questions in the poll. So in fact, there's 42 votes but only 14 people who voted. Clearer now.
  22. DVD : no problem. MultiCD : not really.
  23. A bit late but I can at last confirm XP SP1a is working perfectly.
  24. Thanks. I think 173 = Compte utilisateur principal pour travail quotidien sur l'ordinateur should be a good translation.
  25. Thanks for the heads up on Proxomitron. eDexter is fast the same thing. When I tried to set up Proxomitron I realized I made an error with eDexter : I was setting it for my LAN connection but not for my dialup. :/ eDexter also seems to use less memory. Also, I've seen the domain blocklist topic on msfn and use big parts of it. @JRosenfeld, this is a major problem : in france, I block toms.fr.intellitxt.com, when visiting american's toms, I have to block toms.us.intellitxt.com and you are blocking toms.uk.intellitxt.com. HOSTS file needs an entry for each subdomain. This is a problem because big HOSTS files creates performance problems.
