  1. LMAO, does anyone have an actual screenshot of this error?

XD, that's nice. Notice the car's label "uber-alarm" too.
  3. Actually that's an awesome idea. All the heat produced ends up in that back room, you don't have this big screen taking up space in your living room, and the cables are neatly tucked away back there. It's most of the advantages of a flat screen, plus a space heater.
  4. Did you need to include a full-size screenshot instead of just the About window?
  5. I've seen a huge "laptop" like that before, but I don't think it had those features.
  6. Hah, I knew this existed but I didn't know MS made it.
  7. Now where's that Wii one based on this?
  8. "Cannot delete xxxxx: Not enough free space." Classic. I've also had interesting errors from Photoshop when opening a lot of files, like "The paging file is too".
  9. Or just set the Start Navigation sound (in Windows Explorer) to none, rather than disable all sounds.
  10. These scams are like the Internet version of Survival Of The Fittest. The people who are dumb enough to believe them go bankrupt and can no longer afford an Internet connection. AHAHAHAHAHAHA I'm considering changing my email address just because of all the spam I get, mostly because the address is composed entirely of two English words. Dictionary attacks by bots seem to be more popular now and Gmail does nothing to stop them. Also, it doesn't help that Bugzilla does nothing to prevent your address from being picked up by bots, which I found out only after posting a few messages on it. I was going to include a screenshot of all the spam I had today, but a mere 200K image is way too much to include in a post.
  11. The big problem with Internet2 is it gets much of its speed from being a private network and hence having a lot less traffic. As for Net Neutrality (atomizer's sig), isn't the goal of that to prevent people from being able to pay for higher bandwidth priority?
  12. Yeah, I'll bet big lottery corporations use such bad grammar all the time.
  13. Try updating or reinstalling Flash. I found the latest version has some problems with web pages not detecting it too.
  14. No good. I set the password to "a" and it still won't take it.
  15. Are these PHP pages? I was having the same problem with my PHP installation (V5.20); the pages load but when the script is done, it switches to a "connection reset" page (or in IE's case a plain old 404). This could be a bug in V5.20. It just kinda magically fixed itself for me.
  16. It does that to me too. Sometimes when I switch from a maximized window to a normal one, another normal one will also pop up but not take focus. After a few months it just completely loses track of windowing, choosing the wrong windows at random, which is when I reinstall. It doesn't get that bad every time though.
  17. I like to just make disk images of the system partition, and copy important files to DVDs and online servers. It's old but it works.
  18. This is a freshly-installed WinXP SP2 system. I'm trying to use Runas to start programs in a restricted account, but when I do, it asks for the password even though the account doesn't have one. Anything I enter it just says invalid password. Also, is there a way to have a specific program (Firefox in this case) always run in a limited account, instead of just changing the shortcuts? Some program that can replace the .exe and launch it in a limited account? I've noticed too that Runas doesn't seem to allow parameters to be passed to the program, which is a bit of a problem.
  19. You should probably reinstall Windows. Whether you like the built in DCHP client is one thing, but if it's not working, then there's probably something wrong with the system.
  20. Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer. You should find Control Panel in your Start menu (may have to tweak the options which you can do by right-clicking the taskbar and choosing Properties).
  21. This sounds like some sort of registry or user profile corruption. I think it always shows files from All Users, but not all of them. I'm not sure how it chooses which to show.
  22. Hm, Sony causing problems again eh? Shows why you should make a backup/restore point before installing new stuff. (Protip: Windows automatically makes restore points before installing unsigned drivers and some programs.)
  23. How did they get the passwords? Just guessed?
