How did you make the mst file? I'm all for using what other people did as it makes it much easier but I think I want to know lol. I've been trying to do it myself and downloaded a few trial softwares. Can't get anywhere.

What service do I need to have a working internet connection on my system. I would like to disable every other service as I don't have a purpose for the computer, except to have an internet connection for it. I disabled all the services, then enabled one by one, but I couldn't find it lol. So here I am. Thanks

Hi, does anyone know of a little program that can manage extensions for me. For example, when I installed Dreamweaver, it took over my php files and other sorts. or when I install a player it would take over the handling of mp3 files. Yes, I can do it through windows and just click the check box to use something else instead, but I have to go through each extension the certain program took over. I just want to like sort it out, and choose the program which I want to use to open a file. Let me know if there's something like that around. Thanks

Hi, I've searched google all over the place, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Im looking for a voting script where the user would have to login to vote, and after a person has voted, it's just stored on a database. Like a voting system that's done to pick department presidents in uni's or something like that. At mine, they take the student card, and vote, so you're allowed to vote only once, and the total isn't shown right after you vote. Im looking for something similar to that for a website. Yeah, im thinking of replacing the mother board. Just my problem is that I need to replace everything else cause the RAM and CPU aren't compatible with the new mobo's. The one I have seem to be so old that it's not found in stores anymore. Well it's the weekend, so I hooked it up again to diagnose it. Now it won't crash lol. It did restart when i turned it on today, but the 2nd restart, it's been on nearly for 5 hours now. Used to restart in the first 20 min. Edit: Can this problem be caused by my on board network card? I tried it twice now, that whenever I try to access the shared drive from another computer, this one crashes.

Yes, I have 3 sticks of ram with me right now. The first two has been compatible with my mobo for 2 years now. The 3rd one I just bought and yes it is compatible with my motherboard too. I think it's just spitting out random errors on me. Now I also get a tcpip.sys BSOD. Im at work now, i'll go do w/e you said later. Thanks for the replies guys.

oh wow thanks. Got somewhere with the error. I get two types of errors. One is: DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL The other: page fault in nonpaged area I googled those, but no site gives me a straight answer. I know i've eliminated everything except the mobo and the cpu. I'll go read some more stuff I guess @Jeremy Tested, and it reported no errors. The RAM is actually brand new, but tested it anyways after removing the old ones I had.

I have this problem with my computer. I've replaced the power supply, the hard drive, the ram, took out the video card, sound card, modem and all it does is restart at random times. I can be on it for 10 min and it would restart suddenly, or I can just start it up, load notepad and would restart. I have no idea where the problem might be. It's either the mobo or the cpu, but can those cause random restarts? It's not getting cooked by heat, it's sitting outside the computer desk with fans and nice ventilation. Any clues as what to do?

Hi, As the title refers, is there a way to play music while installing windows. I did find a thread that tells me how to play music and videos but it's via a player that you can see when installing. Is there something that I can use to play music without seeing the player, so it looks like it has a background music. Thanks

Hi, So I have this remote control. And im trying type letters using it. But I can't seem to. It looks just like a cell phone key pad, where if you press the #2 twice you get the letter a, then if you press #2 3 times you get b. I get the numbers, but if I press it twice or 3 times I still get the number. How do you type letters? I don't have MCE installed, using this on Xp Pro. Thanks

Is there way to program this remote control for specific keys. Like I want one of the buttons to control like an f-key. Any possible way to do that? I hardly use it to actually play videos, so im wondering to put it to use on an MMORPG lol. Thanks
