Hi, I have 4 stick of memory, each 1 GB. I bought it all on a sale. Whenever I use them, my system bsod's. How do I find out which one is at fault. I'm hoping not all 4 are faulty. I ran memtest on it like 6 months ago, but stopped after 4 hours of it not giving me any info. How long should I run it for? is there any other way to figure out which one of the stick is faulty. I don't necessarily have 4 days to use each stick one at a time to see which one is faulty. guess my main question is, how long should memtest be run for to get a result?

A line of text in there, saying: "You would like to know how YOU too can become a sponsor? " I guess it should be, "Would you...?" Nothing big, professional e-mails should be professional

I'm looking to buy a router along with a couple of network adapters that's compatible with the router. So far I've looked at the following: D-LINK DIR-655 Xtreme N Gigabit Router 802.11G/B Draft N Wireless Router Triple Antenna QoS D-Link DIR-825 IEEE 802.3/3u, IEEE 802.11a/g, IEEE802.11n Draft 2.0 Xtreme N Dual Band Gigabit Router D-LINK DGL-4500 Xtreme N Draft N 802.11B/G Gaming Router Triple Antenna Gigabit GameFuel LCD USB I think I've narrowed it down to the following. Not sure exactly which one to get. Feedback before August 12 EST would be great as the sales end lol.

http://apdubey.blogspot.com/2008/09/google...stallation.html Not that you need to download from rapidshare from that link, but you can do the same to get the setup file from temp folder.

HELP! Unnattended windows XP professional?
Grake replied to BeckyyChann's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
If your computer is restarting after a format or while installing windows there might be a hardware problem. First thing i'd check is memory, did you install any new memory? Test your memory with this. If you have a floppy disk, just download that and install it on the floppy, if not you'd have to do more stuff. Read the guide on that site or ask here for more info if you don't have a floppy drive. For your sound, you have to install the drivers for it. Find the CD that came with your motherboard then install the audio drivers. -
well no offense but your post has no relevant info that we could help you on. Maybe a demo file or what type of file it is. Not all files are .exe and you can't use the same switches for every file out there. Try and extract it or try the universal silent switch finder.
-
yes that should work. I used the link I gave you to unpack the .exe make some changes, like make homepage to google.ca or add fav or however you want to customize IE then make an msi out of it.
-
When you boot with the CD with XP on it, it will ask you if you want to format the drive. Format the entire drive then install XP on.
-
You can search for the switches but I used this to make a silent custom IE 7 installer.
-
I guess this is for those who want it on a working windows instead of a new install. That said, I did the same thing you did. I just replaced the original notepad with this in the i386 folder.

I find it pointless. Unless your entire application folder is freeware you will at least have to pay for a software once in your lifetime. I would rather pay for a copy of windows that I will use for 7+ years than to go with something like this. I mean I know there are people who aren't so lucky and all but to me really windows pays off itself. Linux, I can understand. It's different from windows and supports/doesn't support different things. This is just a copy of windows...

Thank you, I'll see what it does!

I have 3 computers at home, connected through a D-Link WBR-1310_revB. Rogers has a limit of 60GB and we seem to sometimes go over since we all use the computers. Rogers only notifies when we've used up 75% bandwidth and at 100%, which I think is a bit late. Is there anything I can install to monitor bandwidth on ALL the 3 computers? The router is too cheap, it has no monitor as far as I can see. Any solutions?

ok i searched but I couldn't find it at all. Whenever I install it, and start it the first time around it keeps asking for wlm85.msi. so I have to extract it from the installer and point to it. It would then add Sharing Folder to my computer and would work fine. I remove sharing folders and it does the same thing again. I've done this before: regsvr32 -u -s "C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\fsshext.8.5.1302.1018.dll" I used this, then I open messenger then it would reinstall, then if I get rid of the sharing folder and restart messenger it would reinstall again. Now I've done this: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{FC9FB64A-1EB2-4CCF-AF5E-1A497A9B5C2D}] This works fine, but the very first time I start messenger it'll ask for wlm85.msi. It would install the sharing folders, then I re-apply the above reg file and it's fine from there on. It's not very silent lol This is what my wpi code is, am I doing something different? prog[pn]=['MSN Messenger 8.5']; desc[pn]=['MSN Messenger chat client.']; uid[pn]=['MSNMESSENGER8']; dflt[pn]=['yes']; cat[pn]=['Applications']; forc[pn]=['no']; cmd1[pn]=['"%WPIPATH%\\INSTALL\\MSNMessenger\\LiveMessenger85final.exe"']; cmd2[pn]=['"%WPIPATH%\\INSTALL\\MSNMessenger\\WindowsLiveSafetyScanner.exe"']; cmd3[pn]=['XCOPY /Y /E /Q /H /R /I "%WPIPATH%\\INSTALL\\MSNMessenger\\Windows Live Messenger.lnk" "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\\Start Menu\\Programs\\"']; cmd4[pn]=['DELETE "%USERPROFILE%\\Desktop\\Windows Live Messenger.lnk"']; cmd5[pn]=['DELETE "%USERPROFILE%\\Application Data\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\Quick Launch\\Windows Live Messenger.lnk"']; rega[pn]=['%WPIPATH%\\INSTALL\\MSNMESSENGER\\MSNMESSENGER.REG']; pn++;
