  2. There is an option to delete files directly rather than send them to the recycle bin. You may have accidently enabled this. Or The files may be to big for the recycle bin and gets deleted.
  3. I think this was discussed before and decission has been made = no go for start smart. I also used smart start before but I found in 2 days this is absolutely not necessary to have it... Still nice to have and doesnt use much resources embe I have looked through all the post and nowhere does it say startsmart is a no go
  4. Could you make a version with start smart?
  5. I guess different people have different reasons, I do for: better security uses less resources (HD and ram) faster bragging rights and to have an OS that is personal to me

  15. I dont understand why xp wont install as the main os
  16. XP should install fine if you set the bios to boot off the cd.
  17. Quote from osba I feel that I can no longer support this site or contribute to it any further. The Admin team and I are currently moving the site to a new home with a new name. After the move, Grabberslasher and I will longer be part of the OSBA community. More details will follow but as from 10pm GMT 17th August 2006, this site will be closed until the relocation is completed. The relocation is going swiftly. There will be some general tidying up of the site before being re-opened in it’s new home.
  18. Plastic polish works good, just use a circular motion when applying let dry to a haze remove excess with a circular motion, Then make a backup copy.
  19. Not exactly but it will turn up in another form
  20. This is the only problem with it. It worked ok before. When I first got the dsl from windstream downloads were pretty fast, but now has slown down to a crawl. The router you recommended is it a wired router? How do I use the upgraded firmware, and what does it do?
  21. I test with my speed which seems pretty accurate. I did have 6 mb cable and my speed accurately tested the speed. I switched to dsl for economic reasons. Is there a way to test the router? I have a hub here also. Would I get the same security using a hub instead of a router?
  22. I have a home network with 2 computers on it going through a netgear router. This is a wired network. I have 3mb dsl from windstream. When running through the router my bandwidth varies from 400 kb/sec to 2.36 mb/sec. Hooking modem up to my computer I get 2.48 mb/sec. My question is am I supposed to loose some bandwidth going through a router? If so how much is reasonable? Do routers go bad? Can someone suggest a reasonable priced wired router? Thanks

  24. IE 7 is still in beta so this might be 1 of the bugs. Try using system restore to toll the computer back.
