It is very good except for a slight screen flicker. This happens when I open certain screens. But for the most part it is very good Keep up the good work. Any chance of getting the xp type of start bar in the future?

Or over at nlite someone might make it where it installs as a hotfix to be nlited into the source. Offtopic does anyone know hoe to put xp taskbar into 2k?

I am using windows 2000 and want to clean up my desktop but do it efficiently, the way to do it is creat a quicklaunch toolbar. Is there a way to do this using the tools in windows 2000? I want to dock it on the side and auto hide when not using. If someone can give a tutorial on this it will be helpful.

I searched and could not find the answer. How would someone add the program file menu to the right click on the mouse? This would make acessing programs a little easier. Could anyone tell me of a dock or program launcher which uses very little ram?

Just wondering any new developments on this.

I like litestep as well. It uses less ram than explorer(6 mb less) pretty functional and the default is not that bad looking. I have disabled explorer totally and use litstep without any problems.

Would removing the "loading network settings" option remove internet connections, or just LAN (as in a real network's connection)?

fdv test litestep it shuts off explorer and uses litestep shell. In my test it used less ram than default windows.

Does this use more or less ram?

OK tested a few shells. Litestep uses less resources maybe not as configurable as others but nice.
