Is there a way to seperate quicklaunch from the taskbar? This way the taskbar can be set to autohide and still have quicklaunch visable.

You may have to do it yourself. I have been emailing gurglemeyer and he has returned my emails. The last one I got said he had a relaps. I have not heard anything more. My prayer are with gurglemeyer

The main thing with Zeta OS is not the os itself its the software support or lack of it. I got the internet configured, but I need a good cd/dvd sortware for it. On the plus side it installs fast, boots fast and is nice looking, it doesnt need a firewall cause it closes all unused ports when not needed and opens them as needed, no need for virus protection.

I have mostly just been reading the forums and not posting much. The reason HMMM well I started a new job and I havnt experimented(destroyed) windows for a while, I have been leaving windows alone mostly and using a safer(mostly) setup. I bought ZetaOS and to connect to the net it needed the network stuff to be entered manually<sigh> but it seemed pretty cool. I will try a program bober suggested as well as the settings you listed to get connected.

Is there software available to find out what my gateway address is? Also my netmask? IPCONFIG doesnt work on my computer.

I renamed to ole.reg and added it to the registry and there was no change. I will reinstall windows but its a good thing I made a seperate partition for my downloads so I wont loose any stuff. Thanks

Well I did it but dont know what I did. I cant drag and drop anymore or copy/cut and paste. I searched the net and it said I may have a possible virus infection I downloaded 2 good virus scans and both tells me I am clean. Any other solutions to get my features back?

You are right. I am so used to windows everything else seems so different. I was hoping zeta would be it but it needs more maturity.

What is a possible fix to speed up getting the desktop?

I installed windows 2000 sp4 on my dads computer, an old del 400 processor and 64 mb of ram. After careful disabling of services the comitt is around 18 mb yes 18, but the desktop takes an extremly long time to appear. Is there a servive responcible for this.

I ordered nero oem suite 1. It seems to be a stripped down version of nero rom. There is a suite 3 oem is there more functionality in this compared to suite 1?

I got it in the mail today, installed it. This is just my opinion. It is fast, it uses very little ram and HD. But it needs more work. I went back to windows 2000 sp4 today.
