  1. Here is your prob, the winnt.sif file is not parsed when you install windows from within windows, it uses the gui version of teh winnt.exe, not the command line version. You would need to run this from dos with the proper command line options. However if you have specified format in your harddrive it would not work. It would fail to format and you will have to update windows rather than do a full install.!!! I recommend that you use a cd and burn all the neccessary files to the CD. Update will work this way, but you will still have to enter info at first prompt screens. Sunil

    kool, nice tool
  6. there is no simple way of quickly formatting the drive in the NTFS filesystem, you would have to manually do this from the windows setup. If you use the winnt.sif method it would just do a conversion. I have searched many times for standalone NTFS formatting tools but cuold not find any. So i think that the only method is by using the cd.

  16. Problem with this is speed, you will have to make a site that is not laid down with grahics, otherwise it is a good idea.
  17. Unless you can write bin files, this is not a good idea, since the space available for change in the setupldr.bin file is only 4 chars, you will have to replace with 8 additional chars, so be careful.
