  1. Kobe Bryant is perhaps the most well-known, active basketball star in the US, besides Shaquille O'Neal. He is accused of raping a girl at a Colorado (US State) resort. He normally is a smiley, nice guy, so that's why everyone is stunned and disbelieving that he could do such a thing. PS. You must be JeffK's brother!
  2. 9 million MSN users at any given time? They definitely chose the right path leaking all those MSN 6 builds, because it created a huge amount of hype and interest in the product.
  3. Well, I am pretty good at first-person shooters (not meaning to toot my own horn, honest!). Because of my love for irony, I made up the most harmless name I could possibly dream of (bordering on the effeminate, some say!)
  4. Maybe it's a private school and he runs it, thus owning the CD It's no matter.
  5. B's Recorder Gold can make a bootable DVD for you. The disc will be a DVD-RW and your bios must be able to support booting from that format.
  6. "Migrate"? Lol! Sounds like you got some close experience with Microsoft. That's the term we were taught when I worked at MSN We were also told that it means "forced upgrade", which is not always a bad thing (except when it costs money ). You could say that you must "migrate" to DirectX 9 so you can play Half Life 2.
  7. Maybe we have it all wrong. Maybe this post was just informative of someone's situation with XP Pro and MSN.
  8. I'm sure the RIAA will start having their people search Kazaa from their own homes so their IPs don't get blocked...sucks for them. By the way, I use a proxy server for my browser so that it reports the wrong IP address to web sites, but this only applies to HTTP protocols. I wish there was one for UDP and TCP, then Kazaa would be flawless.
  9. Hmm...Outlook 2003 takes it beyond the 2GB barrier and improves the handling of PST files for less corruption, but I'm sure you're probably don't want a huge, expensive upgrade. So far, though, that's all I've been able to find.
  10. I have the 500VA belkin...it lasted me less than seven minutes after a full charge and I removed power. Plugged in were: --Two monitors (because if the warning or program I am working with is on the one that shuts off, what good does it do me not to have it plugged in? Grr) --My Athlon XP 2100+, --(3) 512MB DDR DIMMs --430W Antec PSU --(4) case fans --Radeon 9700 --(3) Hard drives Seven minutes? At that rate, all it should power is my alarm clock
  11. Thanks man! And to you, too! :flowers: Thanks, AaronXP! Do you sing "Happy Birthday to You" in Australia? Or the UK?
  12. Do you have a firewall active? Are you in a workplace that might have a hardware firewall that blocks MSN's ports?
  13. Are you sure you're making the distinction between Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger? That could cause two to run. C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger = MSN Messenger C:\Program Files\Messenger = Windows Messenger You could rename/remove the Windows messenger and never see it again, not affecting MSN Messenger at all. If it's "read-only", then right click the folder, go to "Properties", then uncheck the "read-only" box. There is an issue when you remove Windows Messenger, when you load Outlook Express and use the Contacts pane. This causes OE to try to load Messenger, it can't and this causes a long delay. The registry entry that corrects this is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Hide Messenger A DWord value of 2 prevents OE from trying to load it.
  14. Pseudokiller? From NTFS.org? Nice to see you here!
  15. BOOM! Man...you gotta be JeffK's older brother lol Nice sig! I like it. :afro:
  16. You could rename the C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger folder to something else, like "MSN GO AWAY" or something.
  17. I don't mean buy a controller, but an adapter. If you want to learn, you could start with that for a pattern.
  18. Weird! But the scoreboard is right up on the screen in like 3/4ths of the pictures. So you can turn it off to see screenshots instead of scoreboards? Someone should tell the_JOHN how do turn it off with the tab key.
  19. To answer your question, RunDLL32 is most definitely needed by Windows
  20. If cost isn't the issue and learning is, you should buy one, take it apart, and learn. You could post a how-to guide and be the first to do so! Go GH!
  21. It must have driven you crazy to have that scoreboard in your face as much as it was. I think having the scoreboard in my face half of the time would get annoying, so I'm not going to get it. They're still using 8-bit textures? I mean, it is 2003 after all...that kind of thing looked great in 1998, but now? You'd think they would release a texture pack or something.
  22. It's already done, for only $18.90 USD Neato!
  23. Your IE settings can be found in the registry (click run--->type "regedit"), so you can export these settings to a .reg file and merge them into the registy later if you lose them. But I have no idea why, or even how, Inernet Explorer could possibly be deleting your programs--unless you have a spyware scanner like AdAware, SpyBot, or Hijack This deleting them.
  24. You have no idea what evil those scientists would unleash. Behold, the horrors of the mammoth!
  25. ROFL! I made my comment about Harry Potter to be facetious, and "someone" got pretty upset. I recommend editing posts that exhibit rudeness and sending a PM'd warning.
