  1. Does this answer your question? Athlon 64 Benchmarks: Click here for a screenshot with processor OC'd to 2.15 GHz and video card OC'd. Here it is at stock speeds for video and processor (2GHz processor). Nice, eh? All that at 2GHz...
  2. Only if you're running that faster memory at the higher speeds. Honestly though, a faster processor will be a better (and possibly cheaper) investment to improve speed. Look up reviews of really fast memory and take note of how little an improvement it is compared to reviews of how much of a difference faster processors make.
  3. Yes, you can stick with DX8 for now. You may be forced to upgrade eventually as games get more complex in the next year or so and developers decide that they don't have to make DX8 anymore. Half-Life 2 is the first DX9 game so far.
  4. It will run in two modes: DX8 and DX9. To run it at a decent framerate in DX9 you will need a Radeon 9600 or better. NVidia cards don't handle DX9 so well... Take a look here.
  5. You could just do a reg fix until Windows 2000 SP2, I believe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Just changing the reg key didn't work after that or for Windows XP.
  6. Gabe Newell of Valve software is pretty annoyed with NVidia. From TechReport: TechReport article
  7. Copy this into notepad and save as a .reg file, then merge it with the registry. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] "SFCDisable"=dword:ffffff9d The default dword value was originally 0.
  8. This means that WFP is no longer a factor. It's been defeated entirely, which is a good thing for people who find it annoying, like me!
  9. I can host it! marshallpalmer @ min.midco.net
  10. Thank goodness. I'm not into that anymore. I mean, I've dated a couple of my hot cousins but I never really kissed them much.
  11. WinISO as well Yeah, you have to delete the file first before you replace it in the ISO. Also, WinISO lets you add boot information to the CD!
  12. But the link in the opening post of this thread (http://removed/) has a keygen and a loader (not to mention a DoS tool). I thought it would be all right to mention it since this thread is about that site anyway. I'm just making a point by being absurd lol
  13. Will my keygen still work with this new one?
  14. SFC_OS.DLL...the "Holy Grail" of Windows files to crack.
  15. UXTHEME.dll, when hacked, allows you to use unsigned themes (like the ones that are default in WinXP), so all you have to do is unzip the theme to %systemroot%\Resources\Themes, then you can select it from the "Appearance" menu.
  16. I'll be home in 15 minutes and post it on my HTTP space. EDIT: Here it is. Let us know how it works.
  17. email me the file or send a link for DL and I will post it on my HTTP space. BTW has anyone tested this thing yet?
  18. I haven't noticed any errors, but of course that's just my computer. I've noticed different computers are affected by different things. You could just leave it disabled in your case. I'm working on a "Safe" version that works for anyone
  19. If you really wanted to, you could enable the setting that sends your listening/viewing info to MS, but I leave it disabled. WMP 9 works fine
  20. X-Setup allows easy creation of your own tweaks, and has an internet update feature to get more plugins. I've been giving people registry suggestions over the last week by editing .XWZ files in X-Setup. You make plugins in VB and give them to your friends to put in the X-Setup plugins folder, or just save the .reg file of tweaks you have made. Plus you can even submit them to X-Teq. Chances are, however, that X-Teq has nearly any tweak you can think of already. Seriously. It's my favorite tweak program!
  21. Increasing your memory timings has a negligible effect on everything. You're not missing much
