Kartel, no, this is only for drives larger than 132gb and preventing data corruption. LLXX, great piece of work, now I can get drives bigger 120gb

Ever since I read a tutorial on partitioning[5 yrs ago] I've always kept my data on a seperate partition from my OS so that if my OS crashes[seldom] I can wipe C: and reinstall w/o loss of any data. My personal partitions are: C: = OS, D: = Installed Programs, other partitions are personal prefs, I usually have about 6+ I've also used Krick's method too when I didn't want the hassle of a clean install.

MDGx, I don't know if anyone else noticed this in their browser, but using Fullscreen at 1024x768 res in Firefox1.5x, I had to do alot of side scrolling to read the first part of text, this might be a bit of a putoff for some people. Have you tried deleting the modem from System Devices and letting windows reinstall it? Or reinstalling drivers manually? Have you been to Modem mfg's website to seek an answer or see if there's a driver update? Is windows properly recognizing your PCI card?

Anything but straight IE is better, when I was running IE I used Maxthon shell, it's safer & more configurable. Now I run Fox, Opera, SeaMonkey, each cofigured for a different type of browsing IE only for winupdate, whats left of it.

Stranger and stranger I install the old standard way for now. I do use Xteq tweaker, have been for several yrs, so its rote. My Config.sys has always been: "Lastdrive=Z" and thats all. Don't play any DOS games or anything like that, only one on my puter is me, period. The only thing that I used different this install was WUPG from this forum. I've done mulitple AV/AS/Trojan scans, even online ones too and come up clean. I bkdup my config & wiped the extra off, didn't seem to change anything Puzzler it is for sure! Just did fresh install 98se, win update pkg this forum, 98se2ME, single user setup, and now win update says I have to be Admin to dld from site. WTF, this never happened before, appreciate any help given on this, never had Admin on this puter from day 1

Is it no go at the ASUS site? Intel is in MS's backpocket, has been for a long time! They want to kill 98 so we will all upgrade[more $] Thats why I started using AMD, most[if not all] of theirs are backwards compatable.
