  1. 1 person to be more exact... why don't you just ignore and move on ? last time I played around with SP2 over the original XP SP1 I didn't feel it any faster
  2. most large companies play dirty to get ahead because they know the fine will be ridiculous in comparison to the whole net revenue
  3. supermium 117 scores better than the original chrome 109 but I don't feel any significant difference when surfing the web
  4. I know this and that means such a VPN leaves much to be desired.
  5. I opened a site in incognito mode and it surprised me to see my saved password in the log in window https://nypost.com/2022/10/17/google-workers-joke-that-incognito-mode-is-not-truly-private/
  6. is it normal that the incognito mode could read the saved passwords ?
  7. I didn't knew it was based in London.... the country that brought out the porn censorship https://www.wired.co.uk/article/porn-age-checks-id-laws
  8. you are correct. the few ones I found spin at 7200rpm only and are intended for data centers data storage which means they do cost twice as much even so there are either versions 512e or 4Kn for SATA and SAS.
  9. how do you determine the number of sectors per cluster ? so it's either 1 or 8 ? the 512e thing is what got me into the confusion. so the 512e is a single sector/cluster of 4096 bytes but old Windows editions under W8 will see 8 sectors of 512 instead ? I have just checked out an old Seagate HDD cmd = Fsutil fsinfo ntfsinfo x: bytes per sector = 512 bytes per cluser = 4096
  10. ok. the monkey goes back to the zoo if she can't sort this out.
  11. I don't like the propietary enclosures because of this and one doesn't actually know what is buying, SMR or CMR disks. if the disk fails you may not get it back working with a different disk you have to send it in thousands of Km away to the service center. the 3rd party enclosure sounds like a better alternative if it can convert any disk into 4Kn but we are stuck on the same problem mentioned before if the enclosure ever goes bad you have to find a identical one that coud restore the partition
  12. when you try to log in you get that error message https://uk.wallapop.com/
  13. this script doesn't work with other sites that report the same error code and it apparently breaks othe sites so far it's been 1 website out of many I regularly visit but it's gonna be a headhache if more and more sites become unusable without patches chrome 86 is not like IE6 yet but everytime I think on this I get mad
  14. I have already removed the monkey extension because it doesn't fix the issue of a not working site with the same problem as the LG website and it breaks other sites. also the user interface is total crap, I need to check it out several times to see whether it's enabled or not
  15. what happens if the external enclosure goes bad ? can you restore your disk data without the enclosure onto W7 ? can you swap the enclosure out or does it have a unique ID for each disk ?
  16. is 512e/4Kn the same thing and 512 only ? the first one seems to be able to emulate either of the sectors size.
  17. I expected nothing because I am not familiar with disks technology as you are. are you sure that XP would be able to recognize any 4kn disk and create large partitions up to 17+ TB
  18. I prefer the reliability of SATA ports and internal power supply over any USB external enclosure anyway M$ stated that the 4K disks would not support anything under W8 https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-server/backup-and-storage/support-policy-4k-sector-hard-drives
  19. I was looking up this one as I don't want larger disks with helium https://www.westerndigital.com/products/internal-drives/wd-blue-desktop-sata-hdd#WD80EAZZ
  20. OK. both scripts must be created otherwise it doesn't work.
  21. Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).
  22. are you alone behind the Mypal 68 project ? nobody else wants to help you out on debugging ?
