I tried Supermium, finally, well it's quite good, but not portable and writes BrowserMetrics info collecting. Open it with Hex, you will see. You know what, you're right! I'll stick to the ported Opera 97 and Ungoogled 111, apply the anti webp-crap patch to decrapify them, certainly. If you use Opera, don't forget to apply the patch against collecting info-spying, made by @D.Draker. https://msfn.org/board/topic/184249-chrome-110-based-opera-i-ported-it-to-vista/?do=findComment&comment=1238878

Webp Virus, fears, nightmares, suggestions, or exodus from the internet?

I don't see how to apply it, it's only source code there. Did I miss something?- 126 replies

Sure! And don't forget to switch to IDE mode, before the install.

People warned you not waste time on 1511. Especially since they fixed the issue with chrome. -

This is proof they do read us! And they're simply afraid of bad PR. So, @NotHereToPlayGames, it's time to choose your punishment. You were wrong. link. -
Which driver do you need? If you have a dedicated GPU, it shouldn't be a problem. The main point is that board is LGA775.

Asus P5G41-MLX, very good for 775 socket. Cheap cost on Bombay.

No operating system found (win2ksp4) :-(

Must be one hell of coincidence to happen right in the middle of chkdsk. Yes, old cables were good, the probability they went dead is very low, I too vote for the dead HDD. As a suggestion, check your power supply, too! -

But you wrote you already had such kind of experience with 1607. -
I'm sorry, I don't know what that is. If it's some Western. I'm not fond of them, so no wonder I'm not familiar. Do you still have the delay issue with chrome?

Windows 10 v1511 had reached its end of servicing life on October 10, 2017, it means no updates, ever, which is good! On the other hand - the most possible chrome's next victim, closest dumpster candidate, which means time wasted on modding it. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/announcements/windows-10-1511-end-of-servicing -
I was under the opinion MSFN is a nice place. Sad you don't share this opinion.

Try to add this secret flag to reduce the number of draw processes. Starts faster with it. --disable-features=EnableDrDc

If you're wrong, what punishment will you agree to endure? They don't, their AI does, quit living in the seventies.

I'm sorry if I missed, were you able to get fully working ungoogled 111 on 7 and Vista? Thnx. Ungoogled, not the simple chrome.

Chrome 118 from last month doesn't work on Windows 10 RTM. https://msfn.org/board/topic/184046-future-of-chrome-on-windows-7/page/41/#comment-1251447 -
This one, also. 1. Will this browser collect or disclose my privacy information? "Strictly abide by the "Regulations on the protection of computer software" of the people's Republic of China... So, if by the China "regulations", then it's fine.

And what about Supremium? Did you try it? It's on latest Chrome build, did you like it? It claims to work on 8.1.

I rather afraid of this. And I trust @Mr.Scienceman2000 and @Dixel. Not saying I don't trust you, perhaps you just missed the facts. https://msfn.org/board/topic/183138-mozilla-and-firefox-has-turned-into-evil-and-lie-to-their-userbase-leave-it-and-go-for-alternatives/

What they claim, no one should trust. I remember Opera in 2016 did the same, promises, promises. I agree with @D.Drakerand @yoltboy01, and the fact it still works, is just some random matter.

Thanx for the info! So I finally decided to try Catxsp, because Supermium is not portable, and guess what, I can't even start 117 or any later builds of 116. The last that worked is the early build of 116 Beta (it's now deleted from the site). Could you please check on Windows 7 and simple 8.0, thank you!
