And a suggestion to remove the portion of the code which creates BrowserMetrics-xxxxxxxx-xxxxx.pma in the BrowserMetrics folder and BrowserMetrics-spare.pma in the data folder. It can be lots of them ! Each is 4mb or so. Created every start. These ones have all of the info about ones PC , from what I gather through GetOEMCP and similar,

I currently run Vista at March 2019, also 6003 (had to because of the two games from 2022). The only way to run is like I said above. And you're right, it works on Win 7 without the updates at all. I have a question, is it supposed to have a highlighted (on the top, with a blindingly white colour) new tab when it's unused ? I'm using the dark theme flags. Also, another important question, is it fully portable ? Will machine ID off flag work ? Does it understand disable-encryption ? Thanks.
-
I just tried and it works - only if I use the extended list of my flags + the famous NO sanbox. But works very good, I mean, it starts faster than its counterparts. Other than that, I had no time to fully test. EDIT: But I'm sure it's good because it was made by win32 (c).

* Totally not advisable for those with any kind of mental issues.

In theory good, but not for all places, I guess. Here we have workers (and even shop owners) from various countries with the skin colour you supposed to not notice, and they would simply REPLACE them and charge you for the work and for the price *at least thrice more* than they cost in any actual shop, when bought separately. For anyone who runs with their red flag ahead of the train , wanting to undeservedly accuse me of "racism", I wrote "not notice", ignore, that's what we actually do, and get astronomical prices in return. Then they make enormous amounts of money and get to the rich , "elite" in my country, while making zero good deeds for the city or the country. The locals were completely squeezed out of car (and not only car) businesses by the newcomers' gangs. This whole situation + "cozid" demands + enormous amounts of tourists (from which we, ordinary citizens see zero benefits) drove the prices sky high. Up to 2000s something it was a good place to live.

If you want me to reply, I need to know what exactly you define as rich. You, personally you. Maybe a couple of examples. The amount of tax-deducted income per month you find to be "rich". Thanks.

Yes, that's right, just like I suggested, before they made the stupid changes in 2023.

LinkedIn & Banking Browsers?
D.Draker replied to medowe's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
But Erik wrote: "full DPI processing, decryption and content (payload) analysis (e.g., SharePoint file transfer)". Ok, another good example of using DPI would be LinkedIn being discussed here. LinkedIn is totally forbidden in Russia, which is no wonder for a totalitarian state, so we leave it alone, but what we are interested in - how they block it. "...internet providers have already cut access to the site, which has more than six million members in Russia." - BBC UK Now tell how their internet provider can cut off the access without DPI and MITM ? (more of a rhetorical question). So they block LinkedIn completely (incuding ordinary browser visit), not only their app that was found by using its pattern. See the red pics from their largest ISP with proof. Source: "LinkedIn blocked by Russian authorities" https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-38014501 Note: the article is 2016, they do it for a long time. -
LinkedIn & Banking Browsers?

No. New Gen sees through. "Using NG DPI, it is possible, for example, to identify an encrypted flow as trusted traffic which can be sent on its way without further analysis (e.g., MS Teams audio call), and a flow that requires full DPI processing, decryption and content (payload) analysis (e.g., SharePoint file transfer). NG DPI has evolved from standard DPI to meet three additional challenges" That's way more than enough to confirm you've used a forbidden in China "evil" Western app and call cops on you (or add to the list: Russia and all similar DPI extensive users). They'll do further forensics with the PC on the location, don't worry. https://cybersecurity-magazine.com/using-next-gen-dpi-to-ensure-visibility-and-control-for-security-service-edge/ by Erik Larsson "Erik works with cybersecurity and networking use cases for Enea’s Qosmos DPI and traffic intelligence software. He has an extensive experience..." -
He wouldn't need to do anything if he hadn't touched that "Security Update Driver", because it's what creates the issue in the first place. According to Nvidia themselves "Security Update Drivers" don't bring anything new to the table in terms of gaming, in fact they do reduce FPS, it's been known for decades. So it's the same old 471 driver (branch R470) from 2 years ago, in the flesh. But whaddaiknow from only 23 years of using Nvidia. Looks like the OP lost the diesire to talk and went dark, so we'll never know the happy end (not).

The article you gave is for Microsoft Windows 7, the original question was about Windows 8.1. Also, I'm pretty sure this is not relevant, not only because of the wrong OS, but also due to the fact his card is 6 years old, and the last driver for it was from 2021, 2 years old, and they claim in the article - they made these changes only starting from the January of 2023. (!) "Starting January 16th 2023 ..." Try this driver 471 (the R470 branch from 2021 is the last for Windows 8.1): I myself tried and it worked with my spare (guinea pig) GT1030 EVGA SC. https://www.evga.com/products/specs/gpu.aspx?pn=c22d5809-ca26-4974-901f-07065acf1bf1 https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/176519/en-uk/ My remark : This is insane, actually. MS and Nvidia can't get their crap together, lol. End users shouldn't burden themselves with such inconveniences .

Of course ! It's non-modded versions (the links were given for win32, mostly). For Win 7/8 you need to use v.109 from these links. For Vista with Kernel - 110 or 111.

1. I'm pretty sure you ripped it out of context to start another political debate, don't do that, DAVE already warned you, so I'm ignoring it. Also, you again misinterpreted what I wrote, I'm ignoring it (again). Who are you to decide what is "extreme" or not ? From what you told us here on the forum, you're a helper of deputy, not a judge. Go back to my original answer you replied to. Read the sentence No. 2 ,which you deleted from my original posting , (requires minimum English skills at CEFR A1). 2. Aren't you the one who is against Extended Kernels ? And again, you yourself wrote here "from what I've seen in the "code" of CatsXP, I'm not gonna do it". So, why do we need a "dirty" telemetry browser here ? BTW, you never answered what you meant by the "code".

This is needed only if he somehow managed to mod the drivers, which I very much doubt, knowing legacyfan. Also, he would get a watermark then.
-
Thanks ! Maybe also block/remove the postings with the promotions of china made browsers then ? Not only due to the safety concerns (since they aren't even properly vetted), but also due to the off-topic activities. This needs to be just as the topic suggests, agree with you Dave, as usual.

Found 'em ! Not seeing the source code for the latest 116, though. The latest they have is the 113 source code. https://github.com/ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium-windows/releases/tag/113.0.5672.64-1.1 EDIT : This one should play all videos (allegedly). "Website for ungoogled-chromium contributor-submitted binaries (contributor binaries). IMPORTANT: These binaries are provided by anyone who are willing to build and submit them. Because these binaries are not necessarily reproducible, authenticity cannot be guaranteed." https://ungoogled-software.github.io/ungoogled-chromium-binaries/releases/windows/64bit/

@win32 wrote he had built from the original chromium source. Simple (vanilla) chromium doesn't include HEVC (H265), H264 - which you need to play most videos, youtube works because it has VP9 , VP8 included, but it's not enough for the majority of websites, Twitter. for example. I'd suggest a good solution to avoid possible licencing issues and the users who are so overly concerned with "thin" or "thick" lines of legality, or whatever they call it - compile from the source that has all codecs included (some ungoogled versions, for example). Though, I'm not sure if they share their code in the open.

Error Code 52 is a blatant driver digital signature issue with your Graphics Driver in the combination with the operating system. 8.1 has very strict demands towards WHQL. Clean manual installation of WHQL graphics drivers resolve the issue.
-
Add to the list : screaming in CAPSLOCK, "jokes" from non-English users, enormous amount of smileys, patronising language, cheap sarcasm, adding links to "funny" sources, junk/crap in someone's "signature". Saying "me too", "I agree" , making up and then writing absolute crap just to fill out space on the forum.

LinkedIn & Banking Browsers?
D.Draker replied to medowe's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
You would need to start this new conversation with "excuse me sir, I was wrong and rude, this will not happen in the future". That's what polite, educated (and generally normal) people do. Yes, aware. The DPI fake cert method worked 6 years ago and earlier, so you're wrong, again. Please restrain yourself from replying to me ever again, I'm not willing to share my knowledge with you anymore - because you don't appreciate it, you're trying to cover your lack of info with cheap sarcasm, and it won't gonna work. Bye. -

This is sooooo boring. Change your wardrobe asap, try to order some Moschino, at least. From what I know, they have an official shop in the US. I have SIX vehicles and none of them work. Who's counting ? - GoldenEye 1995 (c)

LinkedIn & Banking Browsers?
D.Draker replied to medowe's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
For those who are interested in this subject (not in insulting other members), go on and educate yourself. You have to arrange for the clients to trust the certificate your DPI device uses to for ssl. This will even eliminate the warnings you talk about. US-CERT has an article on this very issue. DPI is not that difficult to perform, in theory and practice. https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/alerts/TA17-075A -
LinkedIn & Banking Browsers?

LinkedIn works 100% fine with Chrome 102 (released a year ago, last May).
