  1. What news do you want? The kernel from March is already old!?!? Both of you, you already have a million of topics where you exchange niceties/upvotes and spam the forum with "wassup/I'm fine", could you keep *at least* this one clean? And no, we don't need your empty promises to quit the spam activities in the form of yet another reply.
  2. That's because Unity has a well known Tripple engine DX9/10/11, on XP it will always downgrade itself to DX9, but you already knew that, with your Expérience, didn't you ?
  3. Yes, of course, and I'm not sure why he didn't understand it, I mean, with his Expérience.
  4. To everyone: First of all, everything AstroSkipper says - you're demanded to have no doubts about it! Don't you dare to think otherwise. To the the wise scholar AstroSkipper: The bloody "free" Norton's licence-burden came on the CD disk with my Siemens PC, and I had the same terrible experience. I would never advise anyone to buy a licence from them also, of course. To everyone, again: Norton is on the same level of terrible experience along with Kaspersky. Kaspersky even dared to find a "virus" in the famous MKVToolNix programme by the famous German author Mosu - Moritz Bunkus. For those who are in bed with Kaspersky, confirmed by Kaspersky itself: the original setup.exe was a false positive. (of course!): https://mkvtoolnix.download/allegedly-backdoor-in-windows-installer-v2-4-1.html 1 - His spelling is indeed considered correct in the the whole World (minus one country), not only in the UK. 2 - Yes, read the above, it was not "effective". Never was, never will be. Yes, I don't wanna hear about it ever again, I think AstroSkipper agrees with me.
  5. And thank you for bringing up the good memories of safe and divided World. Surely helps anyone with a healthy mentality to stay on the course.
  6. How so? A bit contradictory, don't you agree? You wrote yourself your decade old 980ti works fine. What was "planned" in it? Or you want an eternal videocard? Perhaps start looking towards Romanian video cards then? What's the Crash file doin in your game folder then? Even its name kinda suggests it can do bad things to you. Could it be your super funny joke about Service pack No. 1866? The games might actually rely on that info. EDIT. No, I'm not interested in low to mid range cards, so no driver for 2060, sorry, perhaps ask the others?
  7. I told you, the driver is very special, it's a developer driver without the artificial FPS lock at poor values, like they do for ordinary peasants. This story is endless, they do it on purpose, you can find videos. From time to time, they leak developer drivers, once in a blue moon.
  8. You're welcome! Must be a bad tutorial you found! You also need to add the device name at the bottom of the file. The driver is fully compatible with all 900 series. As for your question, I run 2019.4.26 absolutely trouble free, but I'm on Intel and Tiatn X. Are you sure your hardware's fine? Maybe a defect? The 980 card should be almost a decade now.
  9. A group of XP users ran out of shampoo, fortunately they had a museum with a fully functional guillotina there, also compatible with their heads.
  10. I already wrote, you tend to put lots of different/unrelated stuff in one post, and it's going downhill, when you start with good, maybe even interesting stuff and then ... caboom ... insert your favourite part with the KGB lieutenant software, literally in each and every post. I mean, I kinda want to like you ... alas.... Nevertheless, I still upvote your post, since it's a big huge progress, and thank you for the compliments! And sorry, if I was too harsh on you at times.
  11. I just wonder why they chose America, and didn't go to Russia? Russia's not only much-much closer, it's also (by the description from several members) such a pleasant, nice country, no racism, peaceful, very peaceful. Salaries are very high, beautiful women wearing only Western-made clothes/makeup and botox is only of the highest quality. Not a single russian car on their streets, in fact, not a single russia-made anything, and Kaspersly is free for every citizen.
  12. To me (it seems) you're a very rare guest in NY. They will think you're a bum, if you have no decent car, and by decent I mean decent-decent. Why won't you just agree with D.Draker, at least this once, and live happily everafter.
  13. Perhaps you confused him with me, being born not far from each other in the seventies, I'm still not married, and not going to, I was on the verge of the most stupid decison I could ever make (marriage), in 1996-97, but somehow changed my mind and avoided it. Later it went completely off the trend. Imagine, I'd have an old wife and old children now! It's so cool to live dedicated to yourself.
  14. I guess he just (maybe) doesn't know - one simply can't compare the states, where it's necessary to have a car, with W. Europe, where one can live without it. Municipal transport is non existent in the U.S., from what I know. Or is of low quality and has bums in it. On the other hand, I know nothing about his country, zero, except they were (are?) friends with russia and located in the East. I only recently (with the help of jaclaz) forced myself to remember it's not Hungary. Yes, no offence, when I was at school/academy, no such countries existed on the map. I have tendencies to erase info I use very rarely, so maybe I'll forget again.
  15. Maybe @win32 will also be interested to import stuff from this rare driver, that didn't work in 37x.xx . It doesn't show up in the searches anymore, I was clever enough to save the direct link had from many years ago.
  16. It's a good PRE-COVID VULKAN driver. I actually get much better FPS with it on my Titan X 12Gb, much faster than the crap 36x.xx/37x.xx they made later,
  17. Of course it does work, it's directly from Microsoft, perhaps he blocked MS servers? Or maybe your country is blocked? Yeah, a good idea to back it up, it's a very rare driver without throttling. Everything up to Titan X is supported, MS signed (WHQL).
  18. You're absolutely right! And the language on the website looks like it was written by a third-grader, at best. So what good to expect from the "OS" then, besides typos in their scripts? The quesion is, whether it needs to be here or not. This doesn't go hand in hand with the good reputation MSFN has. I just wonder why (all of a sudden) @NotHereToPlayGames, with his "energetic spirit", is so quet! He is usually very vocal about "thin/thick/fat/greazy" or whatever he calls his "lines of legality" of the innocent extended kernels.
  19. Their site on cloudfare, no it doesn't. But they do store and share them elsewhere. This article on reddit says "Atlas OS is a modified Windows ISO" and they have a repo on github. From the comments below, regarding their repo. "... this repo is violating Microsoft’s licenses on a platform owned by Microsoft and it’ll likely get taken down soon. And other comments raised a great point about security overall" https://www.reddit.com/r/PrivacyGuides/comments/rpt90x/atlas_os_a_modified_windows_iso_is_this_safe_to/
  20. Well, all drivers I found were bad. But the Brazilain ones did kill the mobo. So don't, just don't kill yours. Some drivers worked! But I was getting BSOD while gaming, here's the favourite nVidia conflict for you, lol. Surely none of ny business, but I 'd say the GPU choice is rather weird. An 8 years old budget mid range for such modern mobo with DDR5? Though, I'd understand if you have no other choice. I mean, such an old card can have potential conflicts with the new board. Perhaps the reason Vista acts up?
  21. It was me, I wrote many times, here on this forum, and not only to you, the self brewed Brazilian USB3.0 drivers are just terrible and killed my mobo, I was clever enough to experiment on a relatively cheap board, but still! And thank you for a good, honest review, I'm starting to like you.
  22. @NotHereToPlayGames talks about the mental illness those poor persons have, if someone tied it to the politics just to make money, it's still on-topic. In fact, they absolutely don't care about them. Though, I agree with you, we need to respect the forum rules, and he shouldn't have mentiioned politians directly. On the other hand, if not such people, who don't obey the rules, you would have nothing to post about.
  23. Agree with this part. This nightmare is also here. The lobby is very strong worldwide. "...who have doubts about their gender identity and may be considering sex change surgery". https://www.alliancevita.org/en/2021/12/gender-french-senate-adopts-controversial-bill-on-sex-change/ Huge, huge amounts of money in this industry.
  24. "Atlas removes all the negative drawbacks of Windows..." - you don't say. I'd never use that OS, under any cicrcumstances.
  25. No, it's a fully butchered and redesigned OS. It does have its own version numbers. "The latest release of AtlasOS (0.5.2)" So, it had been released in a ready made form. They only "want" to provide the script "in the future", bla-bla-bla. "AtlasOS creators say they want to eventually provide a script to help users build a custom ISO of the OS at no cost." https://www.techspot.com/news/97095-check-out-atlasos-redesigned-windows-10-version-gamers.html EDIT: @pcalvert, why won't you tell us who exactly makes that OS, thanks. From what I see, their website is hosted on Cloudflare.
