Feedback : 1- Wonderfully working kernel, as usual. I don't use questionable software, so can't comment on the kgb viruses. Everything else (normal soft) works fine ! I just got back and tested only for several hours on a spare machine with 780 Ti. 2- In the driver 398, I had no conflicts ... but , a big "but" , NVCPL doesn't work and pretty much everything else is missing , like HD audio and even the colour settings , Is it possible to make that driver with the control panel ? Thanks . This is a continuation of my previous nVidia tutorial, but this time I decided to do it for folks with the extended kernel by @win32! As we know, the last officially supported driver was from the early May of 2016. This one is from 2017 ! Some may say it's a miracle , you betcha ! This driver was tested and confirmed fully working on 600, 700, 900 and 1000 series. Except the cheapest GT1030. You need the ex-kernel installed, I tested on a clean Vista with the updates up to 03.2019.+ the kernel. It's not allowed to share modded copyright protected material here, hence the new topic with the precise instructions follows. Tools you need :Driver Signature Enforcement Override, Universal Extractor and any HEX editor you like. Indeed it is very unfortunate. This could be a huge wall we need to break . It's even more evil than the missing functions. A short description of the problem is that the power states not always switch or reset correctly . Though the weirdest thing - it works much better with Haswell ! Yes , you read right . The same haswell that has "timing" issues or whatever you call it . On Haswell it could crash like only 3-5 times a day . Though on others , like LGA1156 it crashes like crazy . Weird , right ? Maybe we could cheat the driver then ? Trick it into thinking it's operating a haswell PC ? P.C. I now also have a new haswell machine to make tests , in addition to my kabylake and other older ones. All are with the cheapest CPUs though .

Good idea, I'll try, thanks ! By any chance , do you know are there any newer ported nVidia drivers ? I've recentlty tried several new games and none of them worked because the last driver for Win 7 is very old . Looks like win 7 is a lost cause. And yes , I even tried to update the system to the last supported level. BTW , Elden Ring didn't work . Well , if I apply the suggested above patches , it starts and I can hear the sound with an empty black screen + cursor . Definitely looks like a driver issue . My card and CPU are supported .
