I'll add: it's used by cloudfare and instagram uses Canvas toDataURL when uploading a photo. @Sampei.Nihira, canvas fingerprinting in a firefox based browser, this is what they talk about here.

The extensions you use in Edge are not relevant to this topic. And you are wrong, canvas is very important, like @UCyborgwrote - it's even used by youtube.

Generally, you will be fine, as long as don't visit a country which is openly hostile. For example, France is a friendly place, very friendly and open, we just tend to keep our preferences to ourselves. When planning your vacation, it's advisable to check the warnings regarding that. I think it's safe to assume - you will be good in Western Europe.

The only solution for the canvas would be to incorporate some form of a fake canvas generator (changes with every launch), like they did it in the Ungoofed Chrome.
