  1. Hi there. I hope this new version helps, but the YT choppy behavior affects all browsers currently working in XP, unless you are willing to suffer ads in a vanilla profile. And even then it chops.
  2. Github common user functions (idk the coding part) is working well with e10s now.
  3. Previous CPU Tamer crossed out. There is a new version/fork that seems to do a better job: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/431573-youtube-cpu-tamer-by-animationframe
  4. 2 or 3 years ago its effect was noticeable. Not today. So with anything yt. For example, enhancer for yt used to be flawless. Now it makes yt stutters.
  5. Interesting. I've been using singlefile-1.18.25-an+fx, from ff addons, two or three versions down, the reason being that it's the last that allows me to check the settings. Now, those settings are in browser-extension-data folder. But it would be nice to have something more up to day. The the question: what version is this ESR version forking from. Thanks!
  6. Hi there. About superstop, very nice. It cuts the crap out of "social media" very fast. I tweak mypal (and sp52) with user.js tricks, however, so the actual gain is for me marginal. I actually prefer Tab reloader (0.6.1). It fails to import settings (with my tweaked user.js set up), but if you enter your settings manually (AND SAVE), it seems to do the trick. The same applies to sp52. For what I understand, this addon uses workers to fight again workers that keep sucking resources in the background. It works in my set up. My settings in the picture. They prevent refreshing and widgeting and attempting to sniff data all the time, very very effectively, allowing me to work on multiple tabs iwthout exhausting resources to a freezing point. Now, I can surf in style, even without multiprocess on. I will report back on that, later. PS: I have also managed to solve (well, it solved itself) an issue I had making user.js work. I started rebuilding profiles from scratch (in sp52 and mypal), and suddenly it started working, which makes life so much easier. Cheers!
  7. ItT works perfectly with tampermonkey on sp52 and 360chrome -it makes loading yt homepage very light-. For some reason, it doesn't always work in mypal68.
  8. Here are some of the scripts I'm using, mostly dealing with nags, performance and untracking. Most of them picked up in msfn discussions on roytam'1 and 360chrome builds. 9. The absence of menuedit, tabmixplus and a proper sidebar is a pity, though. I notice that it is possible to use stylem. I wonder if there is a script to get the tabs to the bottom of the page, where the status bar once was...
  10. It's getting good. In the attached pictures you will find the list of addons I'm running mypal with. Below, the [attached] modified user.js (from the original user.js for ff69) I use, at its current state. At the top (lines 78-179), stuff I've been adding. Linkedin and yt, work well. Facebook has issues, but may be my settings. The whatsapp qr thing keeps swirling. I have issues playing mp4 from some sites, more likely than not, my settings. I use e10s, btw. ghacks user.js
  11. Well, I've found the solution. First, I didn't know that tray it! has a function to hide tray icons in "edit" --> "shell icons". Works well. There is another option: traysaver at mlin.net (in archive).
  12. may be some apps in the system calling back for (system) cert renewal on connection? I used to block digicert systemwide (commented about it in some of the first threads of royatm's browsers). I kept the block until I couldn't hold it anymore: damn thing is like gg, probably a subsidiary. so I'm nowadays more selective in scope. Those system certificates are a funny thing, to be sure. I once picked a little known thing called omniroot in my system certificate list. Its poor (ludicrous or nonexistent) public credentials made me realize how little it took to be able to monitor the unsuspecting. I don't mind. I use 9.9.9.9 extra secure for DNS calls (as first suggested, that I noticed in these forums, by @nicolaasjan).
  13. I may have had a bsod or two using the first mypal68 version, but none since b2. What I do have are multiple browser crashes that render it useless until killing it and launching it again. My guess is it's related to directx and RAM restrictions. Crashes are more likely to occur when using two apps that require directx, or after hours of use, nothing unexpected on xp nowadays, in any browser. Which is the good thing about b3: nice browsing, @feodor2, thanks!
  14. Hi @mina7601, it is attached, but just to satisfy curiosity, This doesn't happen to me in a vanilla set up (in vm). It's just a product of my settings. Now, are my settings safer than vanilla? I think so. That's why I report, based on usage, what I reported. Is it something really to worry about? No. I know the risks I take usding this mod, relative to not using it (beginning with the fact that some sites would be unusable or subpar). But I guess knowing is always good.
  15. Articfoxie, nice stuff. Just reporting two things related to your buid. When firing it for the first time, going to youtube generates an error. This is so, I think, because I block gstatic systemwide. Once I return (with an identical profile unexposed to a gg site), I can get in. I thought that would stick even after a reboot, because I recreate my profile every single time in normal use, without rebooting. On rebooting the os, though, the thing starts again. First launch of youtube with the same profile, gstatic calls are blocked. On second launch, all is good again. For google sites. ungoogling goes so far with my system settings.
  16. I'd say it's an issue of reduncdancy. I suffered my first and only attack in 1996 or so. I realized it was done through netscape, I think, export edition. Since then, first with 95-99, then with XP, I have tweaked my set up in so many ways that I have problems myself installing stuff (which I don't do, spare a few necessary exceptions, nowadays) or even running some software, unless I do such and such. I assume we all do such things, in as many ways as we can, reduncdantly but effectively preventing intrusion, even if one takes a chance out there, after observing the terrain, now and then.
  17. One more (and very old) reason to disable webgl. Did you just get the memo? Or are you just fud-ing your way around?
  18. It's a good thing there is a thread already. I can post the ones I use, and how I change them (when I do). As per your query, I have no proficiency to tell what works or not, other than by usage.
  19. Actually, it would be nice to start a monkey business thread, so all these scripts are available in one place.
  20. Hi, I have managed to set up a full setup, with extensions and customizations. Still some issues regarding access to some sites, like whastappweb, and rather high yt ram load. As per BOD, I suffered them when trying to add too many addons together. Other than that, no crash. It's getting there.
  21. Thanks! Interesting. For some reason, I never could access that setting in my set up (see attached image), in any of the 360 mods. I thought it was just like that, but now I guess it's just the way I cripple things in poor old xp. Is there any other way to do it? Gdrive runs much better in chrome, but dealing with pdf files is a minor pain, right clicking saving as and such
  22. Testing now. I use 360 for big social media, and for what st52 can't handle (to see if 360 or mypal do). So far, the youtube rendition is excelent: fast, crisp, with required tweaks neither nags nor ads, very good sound (using system settings tweaked to my taste). Whasapp is ok, on its own I can run a session for a few minutes without a crash, which is good enough for my ocassional use of said beast outside the phone. Facebook works fine (after some initial hickups with tampermonkey-social fixer fb), with faster and crearer audio-video than before (says placebo). Debasing would be great, though. RAM usage is very good once a heavy social media page is fully loaded and running; loading it is very RAM expensive, though, particularly if you are running two or more social media tabs (say fb and yt, yt and wup, so on so for). Thank you very much for sharing this.
