  1. I need drivers for... Intel Valleyview SoC - Integrated Graphics Card (Video) Atheros/Qualcomm AR9565 Wireless Network Adapter Intel Valleyview SoC - HD Audio Controller [C0] Hardware ID is: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV__0F04&SUBSYS_06901028&REV_0E If it helps, my motherboard model is Dell 0F2A80. Then finally, I need to re-enable ACPI so XP can properly shutdown. Audio Controller Hardware ID PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0F04&SUBSYS_06901028&REV_0E Potential Solution? (Dell site lists audio driver as Realtek High-Definition Audio ALC290 Driver) https://www.realtek.cz/download-driver-nr-447-for-realtek-ALC290-and-WindowsXP-32bit.html PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller (Intel Trusted Execution Engine?) Device instance: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0F18&SUBSYS_06901028&REV_0E \2&EBB567F&0&D0 Hardware IDs PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0F18&SUBSYS_06901028&REV_0E PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0F18&SUBSYS_06901028 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0F18&CC_108000 PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0F18&CC_1080 Graphics Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0F31&SUBSYS_06901028&REV_0E Something is not right on the computer...the computer has a tendency to lag for brief periods of time. More or less contemplating if I should just put XP on hold for a bit and just dualboot with 7
  2. Thank you! Any tips of modifying will also be appreciated! I just realized my biggest issue is the Encryptor/Decrypter Controller. It's been causing annoying, brief moments of freezing and slowdown. The problem is there is only a Windows 7 driver at closest. The network and audio are the other two last concerns I used Snappy Driver Installer and it installed Bluetooth and USB 2.0 and 3.0 drivers (although the USB drivers had a missing entry point despite successfully installing)
  3. I stand corrected, the system still needs a bunch of improvements! Windows XP will only see 2 out of 4gb of ram, depends on a generic video driver, has really slow performance, needs an audio driver, get ACPI fixed, needs a wireless card driver, and apparently a floppy disk driver as well! The chipset driver especially is annoying! Despite this, the chipset driver and webcam appears to work perfectly xD In the worst case scenario, I could just use Vista or 7 instead and remove components. Maybe Linux, if this whole thing doesn't work out All driverpack suggestions will be highly appreciated! Auto, online, offline, or manual!
  4. It's indeed possible After two days ^o^ You will need the latest bios, these SATA drivers, CABARC or cabpack 1.4, NTLite, WinSetupFromUsb 1.8, Dietmar's ACPI.sys, and a flash drive https://www.win-raid.com/t22f45-Guide-Integration-of-Intels-AHCI-RAID-drivers-into-a-Windows-XP-W-k-W-k-CD.html (site where SATA drivers were found) 1. Press f2 while PC is booting and enable legacy mode, disable any other mode(s). Make USB the first to boot. 2. Get a Windows XP disc, copy out all files except for one that says "boot". 3. Obtain the ACPI.sys file, use cabpack 1.4 to convert the file into a LZX format archive. Then rename it to "ACPI.SY_" and replace original ACPI.SY found in the i386 folder. 4. Setup an NTLite installation for Windows XP, bundle the SATA drivers (Go to drivers folder, NOT the 64 one and click the inf file). Include all drivers 5. Once NTLite is done, use WinSetupFromUsb to create a bootable flash drive. 6. Auto format with FBinst, check add XP to disk, include the folder changed by NTLite. 7. Set pendrive, use in computer, but make sure to press f7 quickly after selecting XP installation. You will have to manually turn off the computer after the partition is set. It may freeze the first time booting afterward, but it's all good. Warning: eye-candy ahead No poor PC should be forced to run a bloated Vista/7/8/10 when there's a perfectly speedy XP Unfortunately, I don't think this will work with Windows 2000 because the drivers work on XP, but 2000.
  5. It works! Using the custom drivers, f7, rloew and Damnation's suggested cab file makers to successfully replacing the ACPI.sys file, updating the bios, and f7 made it work!!!
  6. The operation is a bitter-sweet success <3 Windows XP with the modded ACPI.sys files does not stop and claim the claim is corrupted <3 Now I just need to figure out the ACPI problem on my 2014 AIO computer that does not support XP T_T
  7. Could you link me to the program? Google search tells me that it's only available on Windows SP2 and earlier or something.
  8. You've been such an outstanding help to retro computer survival! <3 Once I enter the program makecab.exe in Windows XP, is that all I have to type? What if the modified ACPI.SYS is on the desktop? Thank you so much!
  9. Another method I tried was pressing f5 and setting the computer to "Basic PC". I also tried pressing f7 to disable ACPI... Both took me a step further, but now I have a 0x0000007B error. Windows 8 is currently installed...is that causing the issue? I also cannot set BIOS to ATA instead of ACPI...
  10. Branched from this topic: My attempt of installing Windows XP on a Bay Trail-M CPU has been hampered by the ACPI.sys file. Luckily, a kind user had updated that file here Unfortunately, I must format the file to an LZX:21 archive then change the extension to "SY_" if I want to manually include the updated file in a Windows XP installation CD...an attempt of sending a compressed folder with the extension change made the installation warn that the file was corrupt and aborted. Does anyone know how to compress to LZX? I tried looking but found no archivers that would compress to that format...
  11. I found the location, I just need to figure out how to recompress it The compression method of the file is "LZX:21" Normally, I would just make a 7zip archive...but I doubt XP's installer is capable of extracting that type of format The Microsoft link is broken without an archived page!!! http://xavprods.free.fr/lzx/ Let's see how making a generic compressed folder in windows then giving it the .SY_ extension goes... That didn't work...installation said the file was corrupt T_T
  12. Excuse me, I am currently suffering an ACPI BSoD on my Bay Trail-M AIO computer. I am hoping to install XP because it's a lot faster than 8. I've found drivers, but now I need to figure out how I can get the ACPI.sys into an installation. To do this, I have to manually replace the sys file into an archive that contains the original...only problem is the archive uses LZX:21...I have no idea if using a different type would cause the installation not to install the new ACPI.sys...I have no idea where a LZX:21 file archiver is either...
  13. How do I integrate it into my XP installation using NTlite? I cannot thank you enough for this! I just need to figure out HOW I can integrate this into a Windows XP installation!
  14. The drivers I tried worked but now I get an ACPI bsod...f7 did not help "Windows xp installation bios in system is not fully acpi compliant" Stop: 0x000000A5
  15. This AIO computer does allow me to choose between legacy and the other option. I'm currently reattempting with more SATA drivers.
  16. The title pretty much says it all as usual. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 20 Model 3043 (All-in-one) computer and I'm hoping to use XP over Windows 8.1. It's CPU is a Intel Celeron N2830 (Silvermont). So far... Took a look at this topic: Now I've used WinSetupFromUSB 1.8, auto-formatted with FBinst and used a Windows XP folder. Now the problem is SATA drivers... Drivers from here didn't work (tried 32-bit drivers) (testing other drivers still) https://www.win-raid.com/t22f45-Guide-Integration-of-Intels-AHCI-RAID-drivers-into-a-Windows-XP-W-k-W-k-CD.html The problem is now ACPI...the bios won't allow me to turn it off... Any suggestions?
  17. I am logged in, but the download will not start...could you make it a mega or google drive download? That way we can access the files even when MSFN is down. EDIT: appears to be an issue with google chrome, it worked on firefox
  18. Can you try a different file host? The download link here is broken!
  19. I've tried installing MP10 before and it was not successful... I just tried installing and there seems to be no changes T_T
  20. I tried SMPlayer 0.8.3.0 with KernelEx v19. It only works properly with base enhancements + api fixes opposed to using XP and later. Unfortunately, an MP4 video only appeared the first time the program opened...and it was only a small square that would not expand to the whole player. Audio worked fine though. Could you provide a link to UMPlayer 0.95? I can only find 0.98 portable for Windows. If there are any honorable mentions, please say so. This is a bit off topic, but how did you manage to get Slimboat Portable working on 9x?
  21. Hey y'all! Where can I find a good tutorial of installing themes on Windows 95, 98, ME, and maybe 2000. On the internet, there's plenty of support for customization on Windows XP and later, but I cannot find one very easily on Windows 9x besides revolutions pack! If you can provide me sites that do so, thank you!
