I on other location so i have to use other MB with same Intel 218-V controller, device ID is now: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15A1&SUBSYS_78851462&REV_05 With this board its not working. When i point Device manager to folder with driver, driver is installing, but device name is work, i press install anyway (not signed driver) and after installation there is error, that searched line was not found in the inf file.

Because X800 arrived i tested, dual stunt with it and its working fine. Windows XP, Windows 7 even Linux with Geforce 220GT. I have tried to overcome necessity of changing monitor input (my old 4:3 doesnt have input autoswitching) by using DVI to HDMI cables HDMI switch, but is not working, second thing i discovered that is better to have both monitors inputs connected right from both, i have tried reconnect just 1 cable after boot to right card, i dont saying that is not working, but i at least had some issues with it. Forcing primary gpu slot in HP bios is working too, but its not necessary, but when i want to bruteforce, quick solution, its working.

HardwareID is: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15A1&SUBSYS_15A11849&REV_00 Error, i cant now reboot because im doing something else, but problem is simply that driver could be installed, but after reboot there is exclamation mark and network is not working, if im not working error message say something about, that device could be started.

Ok i tested it without Bios primary GPU slot overide, its not working, same as on other machines, VGA save driver is running and i cant fix it. Here are pictures of working and non working machine, i would like to see same picture (in Unigine is name of used GPU, so no sayers will see) from AMD3 machine and not Gigabyte boards. Well i have managed to get Geforce7950GT + Geforce1030GT finally working on Gigabyte Z97 board, where i can force primary GPU slot in the BIOS, as far i know only Gigabyte and some HP workstation have such bios feature. I had to force Geforce7950GT to Standart VGA driver disable card and after that i could finally install Geforce 1030 GT driver from installer, otherwise i had to force installation from *.inf files.. when was Geforce 7950GT in the system, 1030GT installer always ended with errors, not drivers installed. I dont know, what will happen if i will set primary gpu back to slot 1 (i dont have a time, i want to backup Win7 installation first) and second problem is that during Windows 7 installation was Windows 7 bootloader installed on Windows 98 partition and its not booting for now, there is some bootsector backup, but i will need to find out how to restore it. Worst scenario is that it would be working only with manual bios switching and probably when i forgot to switch and boot wrong OS, i will have to reinstall drivers => PITA. Another good thing is that Dual stunt working on this system on Linux too - Mint 18.2, here i cant boot when i selected Geforce1030 as primary gpu and i can boot after Nouveau open driver was blacklisted, but still not 3D, so i had to download universal linux driver from Nvidia site, install it from terminal and after reboot, its working. I understand principles (Win98, XP are ok, in Win 7 or Win 10, i never saw "Basic VGA" device, so something in your description is missing, forced Standard PCI VGA driver nothign), but problem is that you saying that for you is working something which never worked for me on AMD970 board - i never get picture on second slot Geforce1030 card (never get Geforce 1030 driver working after reboot, always Code 43 error), i always had only VGA safe driver and 1280x1024 resolution and i did same things like with this Z97 board and there it is working, but only with forcing primary GPU slot in bios.. Otherwise i asked for very specific pictures, them would help a lot. I wouldnt be first thing forwhich you need non documented bios specific feature.. I had similar issue with SB Live! dos sound, non one machine it was working, second nothing same setting and here is some small notes in specific there, which is say something about IRQ or DMA mask something.. and its directed to some very technical Google group discussion post at the end of internet.. When im thinkting about this Z97 GB - GA-Z97P-D3 board also supports Crossfire (noSLI), my AMD970 dont have Crossfire and SLI, some Intel boards had something for display port switching it was named Lucid virtue.. You posted it into WinXP for Geforce 10xx cards request.. yeah there is same discussion, but topic is a bit different, there are special dual cards threads, even one mine with 3 posts..

Ok you made me angry. I dont like that spend time to do it yourself, because ask is weakness attitude.. It should be at same level and other Windows section, its definitely at least so frequent and interesting as Windows Vista or Windows 8. There lots people which still care about Dos are ready to donate if there will find nice place to disscuss it, know when you searchs Dos you are getting Vogons site and when you quick check this forum, you see not Dos, you going elsewhere..

So quick news from RuThaNs lair.. I have tested AMD970 with second Intel 1000S GT controller, which is running fine in Conroe machine again i dont boot.. these Intel looks problematic, on other Z97 GB board, were is 1000S CT working, is not working for change Intel 100S NIC. Are there other PCI gigabite Windows 98 compatible NICs? Geforce 7900 with 256MB + 6 HDDs arrived, with patched or unpatched 82.69 still same issues, so problem is not in patch, its worse whole Unofficial driver is not somehow compatible with my board. Problems: Dll errors, sometimes even right after right click anywhere means error, copy-paste from keyboard the same.. Command.com in safe mode blackscreen Dos games from Windows - blackscreen, probably cant set right videomodes.. Its not good news at all, because i see only 2 possibility: 1) Rloew would use its magic and will debug it and make other patch for not working UONV 82.69 and dont mind pay for it.. 2) Or we will say that my Asus AMD970 is dead end for Geforce 7 usage.. It even in that case would be nice to find source of problem, to know why is not compatible and which MB should be avoided. It reminds me, which AMD970 are actually known as working with Geforce 7? Proper HDD on internal Sata port fixed it, i had not enough time to test of it was micron PCI-E controller issue or only incompatibility of Micron with my EDI to SD card adapter, i only tested that with Medley PCI IDE controller + SD card adapter everything was fine. For now from my point of view are Z97 board better Win98 solution than AMD970, only USB is not working, otherwise is everything same or better.

You are right, i even disconnected GPT disc its same, so patch is simply dont like my Asmedia controller. BTW im already in contact with Asrock Bios/uefi team, they were nice enough to implement, per Sata port enable / disable for this board and trying to add hotplug for Asmedia port.. I had some other issues with this board in other OS - in Windows 7 is HDD on Asmedia port marked as removable SCSI device and when i start HWinfo - disc is disconnected to cold powerdown and when i run R-Drive image and scan list of partition i got machine freeze, it could be only Asmedia driver issues.. But i want to say, if you see some way how they should adjust PCI devs settings (scanpci result), write it here or sent it to me by mail, i will try to ask, they are quite open to fixing, its right opposite of my MSI / GB experience with UEFI issues fixing.

As i wrote in first item in this thread, i tried it, but i didnt find this device in the list or way how to install it from INF, so i want to need, how it could be added. Ok had better theories, but maybe is the only some stupid check if device exist, regardless of it is disabled - its some virtual device codec, maybe cant be really disabled, it would be firstime that thing would work such way, its danger of use one too stupid if for some check.. (you know situation when something dont working only because programmer wrote check and because check failed he marked devices as not working.. i did similar thing zillion times..).

I just need to open some existing cd image file (iso is most frequent and there are everything to iso converters) and in some filebrowser like GUI with explorer drag and drop support, i need to add files, rename files and delete saves a just save iso file and use it. I other work i need to work with cd image with with something like virtual disc drive - like vhd etc, but i dont mind special filebrowser GUI for it, im not wrong DVD RAM or old CD RW with some explorer enhandcement were capable to do same thing even in Explorer. Winiso has everything that i need, buts its payed.

I did some more test with Win 7, X99 behavior of 2 nvidia cards is same as on AMD970. I tried Geforce 220GT + Nvidia G7950GT i had working stund, as is described, when driver 309 was installed, this driver supporting both cards, but once i have installed driver for Geforce 220GT only - 340, it stopped working and i had same situation as G7950GT + G1030.. I really want to see these screenshots, where is working Geforce 7 + Geforce 9xx together. I think that could work ATI+Nvidia combination, or maybe Gigabyte board - and bios switch of primary GPU slot, otherwise lots of magic is needed and Dual GPU stunt guide is far from complete..

Its on the Steam and its working in modern OSes as far as i know it was XP+ game.

Ok i tested my Asus AMD970SB AM3 board and APM is not present, so no shutdown at all, or there is change through some Bios settings?

Hello, i want to know, if there is really working NFTS read/write solution for Windows 98SE, i tried Sysinternals NTFS (read only) and Paragon NTFS(seems to be limited to partition size 8.4 GB or at least i see such error), is there any better solution for reasonable partition size (at least 100 GB)?

How to check that APM is there + is working? I have know lots of installation, where automatic shutdown is not working.
